The Jamaican Government is promoting electric vehicles as the future mode of transportation in the country. It's one of the green energy initiatives being endorsed by the state. Even with such an endorsement the Office of Utilities Regulation OUR, states that renewable energy plants won't be allowed to supply electricity to EV users.
