I don’t think it is the same in China. There is not a free press there and I am pretty sure the government controls news articles. And what the government says in China is Bible to Chinese citizens. So if the Chinese government says Nancy Pelosi is saying “beautiful sight” about Hong Kong/Chinese conflict (the context being Nancy/The US wants to see conflict and destruction in Asia) then the citizens will most likely believe it without question. So in Andrew’s defense, this is the information he has received.
I have noticed in alot of these riot news videos “beautiful sight to behold” pops up often from random users. There are also users that seem to be instigating the conflict. Kinda weird, considering we know that Russia has been deploying agents across all social media platforms to instigate conflict in America AND Russia recently aligned with China (against America) on the whole “show us proof Coronavirus came from a lab” argument.
