The group of scientists, aviation officials and a former astronaut, will study UFO evidence which will "lay the groundwork" for future studies.

What is behind all these UFO sightings? We may find out. NASA announced the 16 people who will spend the next nine months studying unidentified aerial phenomena, also known as UFOs. Using unclassified data, the team will "lay the groundwork for future study" of UFOs by examining how the data is gathered by the public, local government and other sources. The goal is to have a roadmap for NASA's data analysis on the flying objects, and determine what events are natural or not.
"Exploring the unknown in space and the atmosphere is at the heart of who we are at NASA,β Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator of the Science Mission Directorate at NASA, said in a statement. "Understanding the data we have surrounding unidentified aerial phenomena is critical to helping us draw scientific conclusions about what is happening in our skies. Data is the language of scientists and makes the unexplainable, explainable."
The announcement of the study participants comes amid a renewed interest in UFOs. In June 2021, the office of the U.S. Director of National Intelligence released a highly anticipated report examining unidentified aerial phenomena, but no "firm conclusions" could be drawn on more than 140 instances.

I can provide proof about the said clip, but I will not spend my time on a video that YouTube recommended to me, as part of their Explore New Things content. We have video recorded via flir….it is also verified by the most advanced radar.. and the testimony of several pilots that are smarter than the average person and have far more to lose by lying about our military and their service to it. I do not get how people can wait and wait for the pentagon to say…yep not bugs or a hoax. It is a craft and we do not know who it is. And people just flip flop and now it is the government pranking us? I am not trying to prove anything here. I am in the same boat as far as requiring preferably live video of an alien for proof aliens exist. Right now people still can not even fathom a craft that is not ours “Human” or that can maneuver like they can. If they do not have anything to gain from shaking hands with us you and I and our childrens children may go our whole lives never seeing one. It does not mean they do not exist. They are probably not here to prove themselves to anyone. The craft could also be operating via artificial intelligence. Would make the most sense if they had the ability which they must. The “pilots” may be part of the craft itself. Either way verification of an unknown craft is what this is and it is enough for proof of that alone. The next question would be exactly where they came from and who made them. You and I may never know the answer but it is not our tech being detected and it can not be anyone else we know. So where does that leave us? That is where we are now.
