MV LEGEND OF THE SEAS MAKES INAUGURAL CALL TO DOMINICA

Roseau, Dominica – January 11, 2008……………….. Dominica’s cruise sector received another boost on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 when the MV Legend of the Seas of Royal Caribbean Cruise Line made its inaugural call at the Woodbridge Bay Port in Roseau.

 

This was the first of nine(9) calls that the Ship will make to Roseau in this season. The passenger capacity of the 867-meter liner is 2076.

 

The welcome ceremony was attended by Mr. Carl Graucob, the Ship’s  Captain, Mr. Steve Bornn, Chief Executive Officer/Director of Tourism, Ms. Kathleen Cuffy, Head of Product Development, Discover Dominica Authority, Ms. Mysline Valerie  of the Dominica Air and Sea Port Authority, Mrs. Keira Aird, representing the Ship’s Agent, H.H. V Whitchurch and the local media.

 

This was the 10th inaugural call for  the 2007/2008 cruise ship season, with two more expected.

 

The next inaugural call will be the Norwegian Gem, expected to dock at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth tomorrow, Saturday, January 12, 2008. (Ends)
