I think that the judge was incredibly honest
He gave the right verdict, but using stupidly vague and misleading language like, “maybe you became another person” to describe someone under the influence of an excessive amount of drugs, doesn’t help. In a legal setting where specific wording is required, it’s even more important.
“Ah OK your honour, next time I’m whacked out of my noodle, you can lock that person up, because it’s unfair to incarcerate me, who isn’t him”.

I think he was bidding when the judge was saying “it wasn’t you…” *AM nodding*
..until the judge says “it was the monster you had become”, then you see Alex stop nodding, lol

Judge Newman is my Trial AD Professor at the UofSC school of law and I can’t say enough about how much of a stand up guy he is especially after just losing his son

The judge is as fair as you can be and as patient to hear bullshit for several weeks to confirm the guilty verdict we knew from start

This lawyer thought he was walking a fool
I read the newspaper account. He called his estranged wife who live 200 miles away and asked her to come down on the pretext of visiting his sick mother… she said no but was finally persuaded to come. She called a friend and said “Something is not right with Paul somethings fishy.” His murdered sons phone showed that Paul was there minutes before they were shot. He proclaims his innocence so he is not totally abandoned by his other son and two brothers that believe his story.
He is a con man and he will always be a con man. He may have even conned himself into thinking he is innocent.
I’m thinking the same thing, he has convinced himself that he’s innocent.

I’m genuinely shocked that justice was served. Like actually shocked.
He may not “hurt” them, but he didn’t say “kill” them. Judge was fair.
