In your “seniour” years, falling can be catastrophic!!! As we age, this is a known way that older people can be greatly injured!!!
When I worked at a senior living facility, falling was a death sentence. Not a single resident who fell ever came home from the hospital. If he survives this, it will only be because the hospital gave him the special treatment of an isolated environment and the best care money can buy. Even then…

For his health I wish him a speedy recovery, but this guy has been one of the most dangerous strategic adversaries in the senate for a very long time so purely politically I hope he stays home and rest for quite awhile.

McConnell had polio as a small child and had to relearn to walk. Most people like that begin to have mobility issues in their sixties. If this is what’s happening now, it’s pretty remarkable that it didn’t start before his eightieth birthday. If so, it will only mean needing some mobility aid (cane, walker, chair, etc.). Time will tell.
The average person won’t get the help or assistance needed. The government can be hostile to people with disabilities
I can only hope Mitch thinks about all those Americans without health insurance and what it would cost them if they fell and had to go to hospital. Many state Republicans still refuse to allow the poorest among us to receive Medicaid health insurance because they hate Obama and don’t care if the poor die.
@Tomas Pita yes. If you are on Medicare, that pays 80 % of your care, but you are on the hook for whatever other expenses you incur. McConnell could afford to pay for his treatment, and then some!!!!
