My gosh that story about the El Paso man who has no living relatives and was worried no one would show up at his wife’s memorial was greeted by so many members of his community and flowers from around the country. My heart broke and was filled with joy at the same time, what a beautiful way to show this man he wasn’t alone. I just wanted to hug him.

True it is heartwarming that so many responded to that man’s lonely situation surrounding his wife’s funeral but we would also be concerned about his future welfare. Once the funeral is done and over, what happens to him? I can only hope that his community will not abandon him to his loneliness. He and all the others who suffered such needless loss will continue needing community support.

@Rani Rich No sonny, you better have a history prof explain this to you. The second amendment is just that, an amendment. It was something that was changed after the Constitution to address the current situation (you had no standing army at the time). It was never imagined that you pinheads would use it as an excuse to blow away someone on your front lawn. AS an amendment, it can be overturned to reflect current situations., which are obviously a lot different than the situation in the late 18th century (see Prohibition and Women’s Voting rights). The idea that you could be an effective militia just by having a gun around is archaic at this point, although it would be highly entertaining to see a few of you tools shoot it out with an Abrahms. Not a lot of ideas from 300 hundred years ago are still in effect but you cowards will use any excuse to justify being the only country that needs mass killing of its citizens on a regular basis. As usual the US is about 50 years behind the rest of the world in social development but their need for the best killing devices is right up to date. Pathetic.
