Michael Cohen Says 'It Does Not Look Good' For The Former President's Taxes | Katy Tur | MSNBC
If it is one isolated payment then there is limited potential for prison. If they are building a RICO case or adding in multiple irregularities then prison is more likely.
@susan ray maybe the Q group would come out to help😅 them.. maybe Rudy he’s always ready for combat 🧐🤪👴
There more than multiple irregularities. Trump is guilty of money laundering, tax evasion/fraud, and embezzlement. That’s the tip of the iceberg, I’m sure.
@long rider … shrug …
@Nic Moreno You can’t pardon someone that’s not yet been convicted. The whole ship of fools and cons is headed to the port known as come-up-ins.
@Charlie Campaign finance fraud and perjury that Cohen committed entirely on the behalf of Trump, co-conspirator #1.
Somebody is going down! Who’s tired of winning now!?
Winning, winning, winning = whining, whining, whining.
@Jack Boot , be prepared for the “pocket pardon” trick that Trump May pull out for him and family.
@Brian Jones how is tax fraud a ridiculous charge – and elections is 1-1
@Brian Jones Just watch Trump flee the country. There is no reason to debate. Sit back and watch 2 scenario where you’re entirely wrong. Trump in prison or Trump fleeing to another country. Sit back and let history show who was right.
@Brian Jones Oh and yea he most definitely lost the popular vote 3 times and the election twice. That is the facts. There’s no evidence for voter fraud. As I was staying. Just sit back and watch. Your cult leader wont be here long.
Criminals should go to jail. Even orange ones.
@Mike Judkins yea kinda blows up that whole trump stacked the court thing dems were obviously wrong about although they whined about it for months.
@Will YoujustSTFU Unlike MAGA trump supporters I am a big fan of….you do the crime, you do the time!! Justice matters!!
@Will YoujustSTFU Oh, I’m aware of what they’re saying. What Cuomo’s people did was fairly useless, did not make a difference at the end of the day, but was not illegal, as there are no direct statutes beyond public records laws that could apply, all of which give ample opportunity to make corrections. As for Trump, I’ll wait to see the charging documents for NYC, but it appears clear that he did commit several felonies in Georgia. Unless you are privy to information the rest of us don’t have access to, in which case, would you care to comment on that?
@villa clarise
Oh gosh I love you for thinking to bring up his bone spurs records. Seems like even if the doctor’s records have been destroyed, the military should have copies.
@Will YoujustSTFU That just shows how obviously GUILTY tRump is when the Supreme Court was stacked in his favor and they still finally after many many months of fighting to not release his tax returns the Supreme Court released them! What is he so afraid of that he can’t show his tax returns? It’s a Rhetorical question. I already know the answer ….GUILTY!! GUILTY!! GUILTY!!!!!
The political system failed to render justice. Now it is up to the legal system to uphold justice. And if it fails as well, the rule of law is dead in the US.
@JRG2733 The system didn’t fail. The members of the Republican party decided that abuse of the office of president is A OKAY and inciting an insurrection, well he didn’t really mean it and we can’t prosecute him when he is president and then we can’t prosecute him because he is no longer in office. The founding fathers didn’t anticipate the creation of political parties or that members of congress would condone unconstitutional and illegal actions. Time for an update of the impeachment laws.
@Charles Rovira LMFAO. Where have you been for the last 4 years? He was considered corrupt before he took office. Still hasn’t shown his tax returns. You guys believe propaganda then are shocked when Trump gets off. Wake up man
@Electro Crypto like I said, it’s the steps that the Manhattan DA is taking that you’re ignoring. His lawyer went to prison over a charge In which Trump is a co-conspirator. Prepare yourself. Dis gonna get gud
@Eric Wood Sadly he sounds like a realist to me.
US justice system is pathetic where it comes to rich, powerful white people.
@Electro Crypto But his mob has dwindled. The big campaign supporters, the banks, the lawyers cut ties. Even his supporters are less and even as a whole they couldn’t cover his billion dollar debt coming due. The biggest Republican campaign donors have vowed to support the campaigns of the Senators who voted to impeach and put up money to fight against future trumpism. His mob is only a show for a few bs news stations now. I doubt the guy who successfully prosecuted the Gambino family can be easily intimidated anyway. I’m hopeful and hoping that said hope isn’t just naivete.
I somehow think Mr Trump ain’t going to be running in 2024. Well maybe he’ll be running in the prison yard!😆
Leader of the peckerwoods
He will be suffering homophobia each time takes a shower.
@Alejandro Ponce de Leon yes thats where he must go
Word on the street is that the former president is likely going to announce his 2024 run at CPAC this Sunday. He’s going to try and crowd out the rest of the field early, and will collapse the GOP semi-permanently.
He’s actually supposed to announce himself as the assumed presidential nominee for the Republican party. I forget when exactly but in next few days.. beginning of March. A last ditch effort to try to have some measure of power thinking it’ll be influential in his court cases imo
I like how Katy Tur smiles as she tells chump the bad news!
I hope that Michael Cohen is right, but Trump doesn’t need a custom made jumpsuit. He always looks ridiculous.
Michael Cohen, Trump made him to be a LIAR, but everything he had testified and mentioned about Trump is the TRUTH. Trump and his adult children, EX CON Paul Manafort, Russia and his other Henchmen sure inflated and CHEATED those 70 plus million VOTES, he claimed to have gotten in the Nov.03, 2020. election. No way he actually did and the media and the public do believe it was all FAIR GAME BY THE TRUMP CLANS. The massive DISTRACTION about the election was a FRAUD, was all PREMEDITATED.
@Derry Taylor …and stupid! Don’t forget stupid!🤣
If you have seen the movie, the arrival, the alien stands just like how dump stands.
orange suit with background music macho macho man
This is hilarious 😂
I think it’s safe to say that Donald is guilty of bank fraud, insurance fraud, tax fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud, campaign finance fraud, hair fraud, tan fraud…..basically all of the frauds. 😄
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣 hair and tan fraud 😆😆
T university fraud & charity fraud
ACN fraud… look it up
@Interesting Times 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 That Part 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Very well written, exactly my thinking and you made me laugh
Today was a lovely day. It was sunny out, nice breeze, Trump getting in trouble, birds singing. Beautiful.
Beautiful day for America. Trump has to turn over his taxes, Mike Lindell is getting sued for a billion dollars for lying about the election, we’re getting a new DA who’s promised to go after those that launched an attempted coup d’etat to overthrow American democracy. And yes, the weather is quite nice where I live as well today.
@Jarry Sciligo don’t forget Rep. Thompson and NAACP filed a lawsuit for the Jan 6.insurrection. This is a strong team that DOES NOT include Hawley, Cruz, and McConnell so no Trump bias
That name is disturbing, lol and funny.
and it was sunny ;
😂😂😂
Lol I hope I hope I hope he goes down for this and many things. A his crimes shall be exposed.
Hope springs eternal. This sleaze has lived a life of impunity. When will he have his comeuppance?
Except he’ll probably only pay fines for his offences. Fines he will more than recoup by further fund raising from his gullible base.
He has never suffered a consequence in his entire life, if anyone deserves prison it’s Trump
Yes, that’s the unforgiveable, never ever knowing what it means to take responsibility for anything, always protected and bailed out by paid attorneys, accountants, PR people, etc.
tRump mob boss.
Trump for Club Feds…
He will be begging Biden for a pardon. lmfao
@maximus11400 trump saw Biden at a dinner yesterday, he was heading down the hall and needed to get by Biden. In a rare moment of showing a bit of politeness, trump squeezed by and said ‘pardon me, Joe’.
All this and no legitimate lawyer will take his calls because he’s such a deadbeat!!
Against the BEST SPECIALISTS SDNY can find!!
This is just beautiful.
fraudster #DonTheCon ‘s obsession with ‘payback’: ‘I’m still in charge’ of the GOP, in addition to ‘I’m still in charge’ of SCOTUS.
Trump is a vexatious litigant. Filing vexatious litigation is considered an abuse of the judicial process and may result in sanctions against the offender. Vexatious litigation is legal action which is brought solely to harass or subdue an adversary. It may take the form of a primary frivolous lawsuit or may be the repetitive, burdensome, and unwarranted filing of meritless motions in a matter which is otherwise a meritorious cause of action. Vexatious proceedings include cases that are started or pursued: to abuse the process of a court or tribunal to harass or annoy, to cause delay or detriment, or for another wrongful purpose This is a lesson that Roy Cohn taught Trump and he has used it perpetually..
@Brian Hard He definitely took that lesson and ran with it. But now that the big money and big lawyers are distancing themselves from him he might finally have to face actual court. I’m hopeful anyway.
Lawyers understand the penalty of lying under oath.
@Spider Taylor I can’t find in the Former President’s Act or any ammendments that say he would lose his lifetime benefits if found guilty in a court of law. How exactly would Secret Service work in prison? I would say an ammendment would be added but I don’t even see the abuse of pardons being addressed.
Once upon a time, a notorious gangster was arrested and charged not for murder or homicide nor any crimes related to being a gangster but for tax evasion.
@Jaditelady173 Mary There’s calls in Scotland for investigation into how he financed his golf courses
They aren’t going to execute him they will put him in prison where he belongs.
Exactly #1 mobsters down fall, tax evasion!!! No chance, guilty 100% rate! Scarface, teflon don is going down!! lock you and enablers up! No pardons for trump administration and criminals.
Capote only sold plumbing supplies.
@Kevin Lindsey bloody predictive text but even a low intelligent republican should be able to work it out
For someone who says he’s got nothing to hide, Trump sure works hard at not being open and transparent.
@Jasse Walton they are more man than Trump and more woman than he can handle
@Antonio Raphael Was that a joke?
Let’s see your tax returns.
@Antonio Raphael so transparent, he quietly pardoned bannon for scamming the nutters for a mexican paid wall 🤣
@Raymond Blais he’s about as dense as a block of concrete
If anyone would know, it’s his former lawyer. Cohen told the world that trump committed bank and tax fraud, and now it’s all gonna come to light.
@M J I don’t think you have a full understanding of that term 😂. Cohen admitted under oath that trump inflated his taxes and committed bank fraud, and Cohen himself hasn’t been accused of doing either of those things.
Can’t forget the wire fraud. I doubt Trump sent his taxes or communicated with banks or insurance companies through the mail… Its possible, but I doubt he is that smart. His milking of donors for legal funds that made its way into his business’s hands is wire fraud as well. Gotta love the internet.
4sHO!!😷✌
@M J Witnesses in criminal trials are seldom paragons of rectitude. As a lawyer, would Cohen expose himself to further charges of perjury?
@Bryce Brogan Cohen stood by him, got caught and Trump abandoned him. I think he has got his response in already to SDNY.
Inciter in-chief is probably crapping in his pants.
No worry, according an Apprentice ex-staff, he wears diaper due to failed bowel incontinence. That is why he always sit on the edge of a chair with that odd posture. Just more frequent changes now with the imminent indictments.
He is crapping in his pamper!!! 😂😂😂
Donald Trump is going to need a prison girdle and prison diapers to go with his prison jumpsuit.
Wishful thinking there.
They don’t put rich white men in jail. They’re too privileged for accountability. Jails are created for average folks like us, especially non-white folks.
He should have kept one of those rappers in prison just incase he ends up there himself–rich people need entertainment too.
At least they will match his Complection
Drumpf: “I’m like, really rich.”
Also Drumpf: “I am a stable genius.”
What about I graduated at the head of my class at the Wharton Business School, a very elite Ivy League School”.
😃😄😃 there is nothing stable about Trump, and he certainly is no genius.
My most memorable is “I am the chosen one”.
🤭🤭🤭with tiny ✋✋
Trump is thinking about changing his name to, “Sigmund Fraud.”
He’s probably also thinking what country to run off to maybe to Putin’s arms
Turns out his 3 additions to SCOTUS isn’t willing to put their necks on the line fir such a scoundrel
