Have you already figured out, what job is offered to all those who working in tourism, when there are no tourists coming to you from other countries? I don’t think your own citizens have now the desire or ability to travel even homecountry. Tourism has grown in the world, but you have lost some of that growth.
Of course, it’s good, if you think you don’t need tourists, and you don’t need to import or export. Isn’t it nice that you get along with your own raw materials and production and your own food and energy productions. How many farms have gone bankrupt during this trade war? The rest of the world, meanwhile, has found new reliable trading partners, and your isolation will probably help some poorer countries fill the gap you have left. So everyone wins?

We want American tourism, but only after a 14-day quarantine period. That’s all the paid time off that Americans get per year. So we’re not likely to get many American tourists until things turn around.
Please DO NOT come to Ireland – yes, American’s love to visit and see the scenery and drink whiskey and investigate their Irish ancestors or roots but just like Tom from Scotland said, you will be sent home without even leaving the airport. I wouldn’t count on holidays to anywhere in the UK either – they aren’t too happy with America under Trump on some very real levels (Strait of Hormuz, Harry Dunn, Coronavirus, Systemic Racism, withdrawal from UNESCO and UNHRC and Open Skies, de-funding of WHO during pandemic, the child prisoners you still have in immigration camps kept separate from parents, constantly in skirmishes and scandals with Russia, China, N Korea, etc. so at this point allegiance is ambiguous at best, I literally could go on forever…) so you can forget about the UK govt. allowing you in because they are allies with the US. Canada’s border has been closed for several months to Americans traveling for non essential reasons. We have things under control for now and don’t want covid-19 to spread to our country. Americans need to start understanding that individual rights are fine but only if they don’t hinder the collective rights to safety and health for a majority of the population. This explains why you still don’t have universal health care which shares the cost across the board. This health crisis in your country is due to selfishness on the part of many of you who only care about their individual rights without caring about other’s who may get sick with the virus. We have individuals like that in Canada as well, but our government is elected to take care of these matters for the well being of the majority. Any government not willing to take care of the majority by protecting collective rights to health, would be disposed off very quickly.
Yet still the merican nazi’s continue to sneak across and invade us. I feel the government here needs to start handing out max penalty..which is $75,000.00 fine and 6 mos in jail PER PERSON. Last weekend 2 more discovered sneaking in to shop…lol…in thier 60’s I believe. Old enough to know better for sure, all they got was forced 14 day quarantine and $1,000.00 fine each. Deterents need to be more severe..for example remember how they treated mexicans…steal thier children, imprison babies and let them die in cages. Americans are NOT welcome in Canada.
