The Justice Department outlined a broad inquiry Wednesday into the delayed police response to the Uvalde, Texas, school massacre that left 19 children and two teachers dead in one of the worst campus attacks in U.S. history.
Attorney General Merrick Garland said a team, led by a contingent of outside law enforcement experts, would seek information from all responding police agencies, school officials, family members of the victims and witnesses.
"We have been promised, assured and welcomed by every level of law enforcement," Garland said.
The attorney general said the inquiry would be "comprehensive, transparent and independent."

August 2017 – UNICEF is extremely concerned about an appalling increase in the cruel and calculated use of children, especially girls, as ‘human bombs’ in northeast Nigeria. Children have been used repeatedly in this way over the last few years and so far this year, the number of children used is already four times higher than it was for all of last year.
Since 1 January 2017, 83 children have been used as ‘human bombs’; 55 were girls, most often under 15 years old; 27 were boys, and one was a baby strapped to a girl.
The use of children in this way is an atrocity.
Children used as ‘human bombs’ are, above all, victims, not perpetrators.
The armed group commonly known as Boko Haram has sometimes, but not always, claimed responsibility for these attacks, which target the civilian population. Jesus christ
So should we sent more money to Ukraine then?
How the heck did he afford nearly 8k in firearms and ammo working part time at McDonald’s?
Plus a brand new paid off truck…
The CIA where grooming this guy for over a year. That’s how!
“We have internally reviewed our response and found we have done no wrong doing” – DOJ after the review
Right….
Swear Merrick Garland is a joke
“We investigated ourselves and found that we did an awesome job”
They should be criminally charged for negligence.
Obstructing justice, aiding and abetting an active shooter, and the unintentional death of innocent life as a result of action, or inaction, aka manslaughter for every person along the chain of command that suggested that they stay put for over an hour. These are my terms.
Thank you Sir.
Instead of engaging with these creeps they need to send them all a list of those on the impeachment list and leave them alone!
It’s really sad that those cops didn’t go in to save the children and teachers. How do they live with themselves??
I’m hoping this is actually to hold those spineless cowards who have no right to call themselves police officers, but I have a feeling this will just be used to preach more gun control nonsense to us. The Chief who made the call to stand down should definitely be catching a charge for that, it’s the police’s responsibility to protect those kids and this Chief is responsible for those police.
Send them your keyboard coward 🤦♀️
Garland is already looked at as a joke…. YOU BETTER NOT DO THE BALL ON THIS ONE.
Oh golly joy, he’s finally going to investigate themselves. Riveting.
The US Supreme Court has made it clear that law enforcement agencies are not required to provide protection to the citizens who are forced to pay the police for their “services.”
In the cases DeShaney vs. Winnebago and Town of Castle Rock vs. Gonzales, the supreme court has ruled that police agencies are not obligated to provide protection of citizens. In other words, police are well within their rights to pick and choose when to intervene to protect the lives and property of others — even when a threat is apparent.
In both of these court cases, clear and repeated threats were made against the safety of children — but government agencies chose to take no action.
Hopefully they can be held accountable for not allowing the community to protect themselves.
…zoinks.
Calling it. They will investigate themselves and find that they did nothing wrong.
This is what he thinks is the minimum they need to do
This is the same guy who put concerned parents in the same box as domestic terrierorists.
We should all feel much less safe knowing you are on the job.
Hohum. Pardon me if I’m not confident anything at all will come from this investigation.
The United States of America has a Constitution written by and made into law of our land by our forefathers. We the people do not vote for politicians to change the Constitution. The people vote for leaders to follow the Rule of Law written in the Constitution. The Supreme Court is the vehicle used to in force the law as written in the Constitution. Every Leader, Supreme Court Justice, Law Emforcement Officials has a sworn duty to enforce the law as written or can and will be removed from their duty, by the law or the people in the jurisdiction in which the position they hold. Suck on that Da Chesa Boudin. Joe Biden’s failure to follow the Constitution and protect National Security and Americas Borders, the people by wit the position of the office of President of the United States of America, and will be removed from the office, by the people, of this great United States of America..
Lol as IF this weenie will do ANYTHING but fill HIS pockets!
Nothing will happen.
Well at least we can now be sure the actions of the political operators responsible for leaving these killers free are safe from consequences.
They need to investigate why anyone can just walk through any school door and cause harm to students.
