President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., had a “frank and straightforward dialogue” about a range of issues Wednesday, according to a readout of the meeting from the White House.

“President Biden made clear that, as every other leader in both parties in Congress has affirmed, it is their shared duty not to allow an unprecedented and economically catastrophic default,” the readout of the meeting said. “The United States Constitution is explicit about this obligation, and the American people expect Congress to meet it in the same way all of his predecessors have. It is not negotiable or conditional.”

  1. If the debt doesn’t start getting paid down politicians should end up being treated as traitors and threats to this country.

Are you really that mad that I proved you wrong? LMAO! No idea where you got that number, would be happy to see your source! Approximately 330 members getting paid $174,000 cut to $100,000 is about $25 million, which is less than 0.01% of the deficit, so try again.

    2. @K J 31,000 employees in Congress making $174.000 per year. Not mad just sleepy trying to do math. Lol

You can go online and find the salaries of congressional employees. I see some for 25,000. Between $100,000 and $25,000, you know which number is bigger right? You know not every single person on Capitol Hill makes the same as the Senate and House, right? I mean…clearly you don’t.

    1. It’s okay anything he tries to do shady will be dead on arrival in the Senate…😉 Exactly how Mitch McConnell killed everything when Democrats ran the house

  2. He best keep his dirty hands of SSI.
8.2 million Americans receive Supplemental Security Income payments. Overall, 2.6% of the U.S. population receives SSI payments, and of that percentage, 12.9% are children, 61.4% are working-age adults, and 25.7% are 65+ years old.Dec 12, 2022

  3. This man talked somehow about less than nothing. I am not feeling a sense of confidence from this rubbish. It is impossible for this person to be effective in his job given the divisions.

  4. Amazing videos and thank you for breaking it down!! Despite the economic downturn, I’m so happy I have been earning *$ 55,000* returns from my $9,000 investment every 14 days…

  6. More leadership and informative 1 minute update than the complete works of daily WH briefings of the last 6 months.

  7. Hard to _”CONTINUE_ debt ceiling talks” *when there were NO debt ceiling talks.* Even Speaker Mealy-Mouth said they just had “discussions.”
