Maxwell: ‘Women Are Deserving Of Equal Rights Because They Are People’ | The Last Word | MSNBC
Women are capable of doing things men can still they are discriminated! Remember your mom is a woman at the end of the day! If you respect her, respect each woman
Yes cause it’s a known fact that all women respect us men 🤣
@Factsthat Hurtfeelings Exactly, respect is earned. That’s why I enjoy insulting Trump supporters, they haven’t earned my respect. Thank you for pointing that out.
@Tanner Shortnacy haha Equal Rights,Lefts and Uppercuts…
Why can’t a woman be more like a man?
@Karl Pilkington
Right back atcha, soft skull.
BIDEN 2020

@Patrick Hill for prison Yes definitely!
Get on the Biden Plantation Black’s step and fetch for Joe or You Ain’t Black
@Carlos Stranger thanks. I will get on the plantation. God bless you.
I hope AOC is president one day. She has my vote.
In the halls of Capitol Hill, Yoho’s name is now known as Congressman Ted Ruh-Roh. 😄
He should be censored for his behavior!☹️
To be called an effen b anywhere, but on the steps of Congress, class act.
brilliantly said, ty ms maxwell and mr o’donnell.
Verbal violence is verbal abuse. It can’t be tolerate at work or at home
Occasio-Cortez sure owned Yoho, didn’t she!!!!
Yes, as a woman you can do all the right things to move ahead in this world: work hard, play by the rules, get yourself educated through your own efforts, pay your own bills, stand up for yourself and others…and some men in positions of authority, including in the highest public offices in this country, will STILL feel entitled to do with us as they please.
Women live longer, they are arrested less, they are in prison 90% less than men, they go to college twice as much, they graduate college at a greater rate, they are victims of crime less, they are homeless less, they are the victims of crime less.
In what world do you think that women are mistreated.
AOC should be cheered by every woman in America for her speech. And be truthful she castrated Yoho on the floor of the House of Representatives. And it was a beautiful sight to watch…
I can’t hear that. All I hear is her saying “the world is gonna end in 12 years” or “Unemployment is low because people have multiple jobs”
Lopped it right off didn’t she ?!!! AOC GOT THAT ASSH L
AOC ROCKS ! SHE HAS A GREAT FUTURE IN OUR GOV. STAY GOLD AOC FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT
The world is gonna end in 12 years! (now 10 years?)
How’s that old chemical balance doing in the brain today, dear?
So sound as deranged as she does. Birds of a feather.
Stop that! Your scaring those poor little Republicans.
Trump has clearly levied an attack on women of intelligence who have contributed to their families, communities and country. Trump has made it OK for this type of bias to thrive even among men in Federal service within the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government. EEOC and other laws intended to protect Federal employees from retaliation and abuse of their rights under ADA and other laws are violated routinely due to the tone set by this President.
I am the mother of 2 girls, who are 1/2 Latinas as their father’s country of origin was Ecuador. He was an architect and Professor of Architecture, and I earned my Master of International Administration, with graduate certificates in International Political Economy and Latin American Affairs. We raised our girls to seek higher education. The eldest has a Master of Statistical Science and works for a contractor hired to address the bio-statistical issues behind the pandemic and other health challenges. Our youngest graduated almost 3 months ago (after being forced to complete her studies remaining at home following Spring Break, with a degree in Exercise Science and Pre-Physical Therapy. She did not revel in her accomplishment after going through a graduation ceremony nor spending her final days with many friends she would no longer see, She is applying to PhD programs to complete her Physical Therapy certification.
My husband and I firmly believe in education as the great equalizer and have fought for women’s civil rights and the Equal Rights Amendment. However, it was typical for my generation of educated, serious-minded women to have to be on the front lines of the fight against sexual harassment and discrimination during the 80s, 90s and through the 2 decades of the new millennium. Over my years, I saw the 4-decade increases made on behalf of women and minorities lost under Trump. By targeting women in power positions, including the governors of Oregon and Michigan and the mayors of Chicago and Atlanta as well as women on the Hill, Trump has signaled to men in positions of authority to say vile things unheard of over the past few decades and giving the silent nod to discriminate in hiring against women and minorities. I worked for a white male who set out to and accomplished efforts to get rid of all females and minorities, and he succeeded in only 4 years. I, as a GS15, was the last to go. It makes me sad that all of the work we did to make professional life better for our daughters and nieces has evaporated such that they are back on the frontlines of this fight, including the final votes needed to adopt the ERA for women.
Women of intelligence? Wow, what a hot one.
AOC complaining that the riots are about unemployed people looking for bread while running 50,000 jobs from Amazon out of town on a rail.
Pelosi preventing American troops from returning from Afghanistan b/c of her terminal Trump Derangement. Yeah, that kind of intelligence. Lefty intelligence.
I would like to be there when his daughters call him out for his comments. I know what my daughters would say to me if I were to be say anything like it. Not to mention what my wife would say!
You try to be nice, give the broads the right to vote, give them a couple of super heros, and see what happens? They think they can do no wrong.
Shut up and go make me a sandwhich.
GOP women never speak up for women..
“We realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced.”
— Malala Yousafzai, Pakistani activist and Nobel laureate
Yoho sounded exactly like the male version of Karen to us all.
If we don’t have more women leaders of countries around the world including the US, humanity will be destroyed by nuclear war within the next 5 years.
In other words, we are already dead.
This commentator just distilled a thought I’ve been having for years when people talk about women being deserving of respect because of their relationship to a man, i.e., a man’s mother or daughter. Imagine having to remind people that men are deserving of respect because they are some woman’s father or brother. Women are deserving of respect because they are half of the human race. And every time we look down at the ground when some strange man on the street shouts at us gleefully about how our body looks, or every time we make ourselves smaller on the subway so that the man sitting next to us can spread himself out, we are making ourselves smaller in spirit so that men can have the luxury of seeing themselves as larger. This exchange between AOC and Representative Yoho is nothing new, but perhaps it strikes a nerve because being quiet while a man casually disrespects us is something most women have experienced throughout their daily lives since they were very young. And it seems now that we are finally able to talk about it without having our voice literally drowned out by the louder voice of a man.
PS. The equal rights amendment still hasn’t been signed into law after 40+ yrs…just sayin
