Jodie Johnson firstly. Look at the cdc website. The numbers are inflated. Without question. They say so on their own site. Secondly the way they’re counting these numbers is not consistent with how we normally count these things. If you have CHF or cancer or some other comorbidity and the flu and you die it’s not counted as a flu death. Now to trump and his actions and words. He downplayed the virus while speaking. Obviously so. That’s what any leader would and should do. His words did not cause anybody to die from a Chinese virus. Now let’s look at the timeline and the actions he took. Jan 31 he banned travel from Hong Kong, China, and Macau.
Feb 29 he banned travel from Iran
March 11 he banned travel from Schengen area of Europe
March 13 he declared a national emergency over covid
March 14 he banned travel from the entire UK
March 18 he envoked the defense production act for ppe and ventilators
These were all executive orders. And on March 19 he does the bob Woodard interview saying he wants to downplay it he likes downplaying because he doesn’t want to cause panic. Words mean nothing! His actions are what we should be worried about and his actions were and have been pretty good. I’m not sure exactly what you people claiming he’s killed 200,000 of us would have liked him to do.
