  1. Canadian healthcare the best healthcare… except when it’s not and Canadians need to go to the states for treatment.

  2. If all the money spent on useless PCR and rapid testing to maintain case numbers was spent on opening beds and supporting staff there wouldn’t be any shortages….there is obviously a lot of money for testing which doesn’t treat a single patient.

    1. @TourCaddie Do you know how to read? He said if money that was wasted was spent more prudently. Go back to elementary school.

    2. @Shawn Pitman …you have been wishing for more testing. Wishing for more government. You got what you wished for. Anytime you want to compare degrees smart guy, let me know. Laughable to think you actually have a degree.

    3. @TourCaddie money is digital, they can “print” as much as they want and these past couple years have been proof. You have a degree in what again?

  3. The initial waves of Covid should’ve been the perfect indicator that the health care infrastructure wasn’t sufficient. Instead we wasted massive amounts of funds in testing, to this day haven’t fixed a decades old infrastructure issue, an issue we won’t be able to fix in the foreseeable future due to the horrendous state of the economy. This government has failed its citizens in so many ways it’s frightening.

    1. Yes, the entire justification for emergency measures was to give the gov’t time to increase hospital capacity! Remember that curve? Now we have to flatten it even more because the gov’t fired so many healthcare staff instead of hiring more

  4. Go back, 2013, 2018, 2017 whatever, there were always articles about Manitoba hospitals being overwhelmed. Since the 90’s healthcare budgets have been cut and then cut again. Rural hospitals really got hit hard. This is not new.
I am surprised though that a spinal injury person will most likely have to travel by vehicle for 4 hours.

  5. The Government doesn’t care about its citizens… that’s why our prime minister would rather help Ukraine instead of it’s own country men and women who’s health and safety is on the line because of mismanaged healthcare services

  6. They have had years and the government is not fast tracking more doctors, they allowed this to build up

  7. Why did the government fire all those nurses and ambulance drivers if they were short staffed?
