  10. Its true that collectivism (groups of tribal ideologies) are inherently flawed. One joins such an ideology to gain group acceptance, which is natural human tendencies. The inhuman result is that one agrees even with illogical agendas to get along. This is the bane of any form of administrative government. Course correction is not in their rulebook.

You can see this in the way Global Warming issues (pollution, increased temperatures, climate extremes, etc.) are now a smoke screen for pollution and damaging ecosystems with toxic dumping of waterways (new zealand, australia, india, china and most every country around the world now). Its easier for an ecologist to get research funding by going after global warming – rather than rich companies with big political action committees that can lobby an problematic ecologist into the poor house.

  16. The differences in Macron as seen from the inside (France) and from outside are huge. Internally, he is a right-wing president who tried to change by force 1. the work code 2. social security 3. pensions&retirement 4. increased police rights 5. decreased civil rights 6. maintained tax exceptions for the richest 5%.
    He had 1 full year of major social unrest until the Covid crisis came, and humbled him. He now passes for an enlightened social-conscious guy.
    I’m not saying he is stupid. I’m saying, politically, his ONLY asset is that he stands between the current situation and a neo-fascist far-right rule.
