Louisville Agrees To Settlement, Police Reforms In Breonna Taylor Case | Stephanie Ruhle | MSNBC
No amount of money is a substitute for justice.
Helen Short what’s your take on this report? https://youtu.be/6QlavB3IXiM
@Helen Short True, but unlikely Biden will be attending
@Miah Waska 😂😂😂😂😂 some rando quoting an incomplete “report” on a ongoing investigation. A report that investigators said doesnt change the circumstances surrounding the case.
Anything to shift blame, right??
But I’m reminded of trump and how he keeps crying about “unnamed sources”
seems that’s the only thing ya got to go on tho…
👌💓💗
@Miah Waska once again they say they have all this proof to prove her not to be shyt but nobody shows it. It’s just a lot of talking. Where is the proof? Stop sending me bs videos that prove nothing but more outlandish conspiracies
Dang really? Was hoping this would go to trial.
@Bad Cattitude they murdered an innocent woman you racist fool
Trail for what? To cost the tax payers even more for it to be dismissed? Don’t for a second think this payout was anything more than for optics to appease the mob. Her boyfriend(drug dealer #2) admitted to shooting first through the door. In what world can you shoot at people and be shocked when shots are fired back
@Bad Cattitude they shot and killed someone in bed who had no weapon. You don’t get to do that even if you’re a cop.
@Adam Smith uh…..when you’re in your own house and people are breaking in? Are you saying criminals have a right to self defense against castle doctrine? That’s dumb.
@Karen Piotte her boyfriend was shooting at police while using her as a backstop. The police returned fire. They didn’t just walk up to her bed and shoot her in it
What does this mean? Money forgives all? Sad if that’s true
far22186
Sir you have been successfully brainwashed to believe lies. It was a no knock warrant. They entered the home without saying that they were police. The boyfriend called 911 because he thought the home was being invaded. He did what every American citizen has the right to which is to defend their home by any means necessary. He had a licensed firearm and he shot at people who he believed to intruders. He was trying to defend his home.
@Homewood good 1 less POS drug dealer, i hope they get 100 more. What? https://youtu.be/2TQ3x24-OKQ
@Americrackkka Nightmare Race war. In israel we analyze such a scenario. the democrats , liberals , inner city gangs would be ANNIHILATED.
It’s all her family wanted. She dates a drug dealer, then her new bf shoots at police first and gets her killed. Basically her family cashed in on her bad taste in men🙄
✌💗🔴
Lol we’ll settle this by giving your money from your tax paying back
@Fiasco ok well then it’s still coming out of the Louisville taxpayers money. It should be coming out of those officers pensions and the departments funds.
@footba11fan41ife The cops didn’t do anything wrong. Her boyfriend shot at police while using her as a backstop. The cops got shot at and they returned fire.
Except her family ain’t paid no 12 million in taxes. They’re black. Lucky if you can get 500 a year off a poor black family
❣💝
there is nothing lol about death unless of course you come from a family where common sense is not common
I got injured by police, and there is still pending litigation.
💛🌹💌💋💚
@Austin Santos well if they destroyed evidence that’s called spoilation, you can win the case based on that, they had a duty to preserve that, police get sued all the time and play the numbers game. Look at the 12 million just played to Brianna family, you think that was done lightly. I’m telling man its until the jury gets the verdict and then they will settle before you are awarded any money. Hate pig lawyers
@Austin Santos and also attorneys are notorious for being dirty, it’s called sweetheart deals between themselves.
@Francisco Toscano Well what should I do to press my lawyer to make sure it ain’t a sweetheart deal. Okay your very helpful man, he acted upset I didn’t jump on the idea of the offer that paid him by the state and not out of my settlement money.
❣😘❣🔴
Hate to see this one ending like this.
😍💚
@footba11fan41ife “fabricated evidence LOL,” my brother is a cop , no cops want to go anywhere near that, they would likely fabricate evidence if it meant avoiding doing anything
@footba11fan41ife Yes because when you sell drugs and use your girlfriend as a shield you are so worried about following laws. Get out of here, you are part of the problem.
I’m sure her family likes this ending. I wouldn’t worry about it!
DJ Davis he had the right to protect his home if they did not identify their self so what are you talking about they didn’t do their job
Hush money coming out of tax payers
No, the police have insurance that will likely pay. The taxpayers should elect more competent officials who are invested in good policing. Do you know what is coming out of taxpayer’s money? COVID-19 care for the uninsured.
@Fiasco The police should not have been there in the first place and didn’t identify themselves as police in the middle of the night. What would you do if someone unidentified were breaking down your door?
First Name Last Name there’s No transparency right. It’s getting bad.
@First Name Last Name The police say that they identified themselves, the boyfriend said he didn’t hear. Can’t really tell without video. They were there because there was a warrant for that address, they weren’t at the wrong place.
@Fiasco If the police identified themselves, neighbors would have heard. And identifying themselves is nonsensical in a no-knock warrant.
It’s not the city’s money but taxpayer. Never forget that
@Puppy power Yep
The city has insurance and the citizens should have elected more intelligent officials to hire more competent police officers. It starts from the top. Let’s discuss the taxpayers attending political rallies without masks during a pandemic, catching COVID-19 and eating up taxpayer money getting treated at hospitals.
@Yung Kali You don’t care how costly it will be if you’re gonna win. You go for the big money, and to make a point, although when people are offered a settlement, many don’t care about principles, tho. They just take the money. Especially if they think they’ll lose.
@First Name Last Name Intelligent people don’t live in cities. You get what you get in the city.
l337pwnage no matter how solid your case is there is never a guaranteed when in court. Your delusional and know nothing about litigation. Multi billion dollar companies settle all the time. Cities settle, normal citizens settle. It’s not uncommon to settle before trial. Very few cases actually ever go to trial. You don’t know what you talking about.
Basically, it’s being swept under the rug in exchange for a payoff to the family.
@LGBT Liberty Guns Beer Trump lmfao, y’all can’t help yourselves. Born liars and thieves.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfiV4Rqqn_c&feature=youtu.be
It’s in hands of insurance co.
Cheaper to pay off
🖤💟💜
💜✌💚
Settlements are the only way to fix stuff. Stupid mistakes costing the city alot and that’s the only thing they care about. Losing money
Some one should have thought
Uhhhh what if the home owner has a gun, like are you kidding, a 3rd grade child could have analized this better
Officer tatom report
Greg Lilleston don’t worry people can’t take the time to do simple research would rather sit in victimhopd
Im sure he wasn’t a home owner for one, and additionally, her boyfriend caused her death.
❣👌💝
🔞💝💙
What about ACCOUNTABILITY!
She was held accountable.
Ronnie 62 right, like for Breonna Taylor being a coke dealer, right? Or her boyfriend shooting a cop? Ohhhh, you didn’t mean that did you? Sorry
✌💚💛
💌👌
Yes! Hold the thug boyfriend accountable!!
hate to say this but they were not guna charge those officers and the city was afraid of more riots.
Tyler Durden they SHOULD buy they won’t.
@Tyler Durden i take it you seen or know about the case details? stuff not shown on the news? tyler d i agree with you
They dont care anymore about riots. 95% of businesses destroyed by The riots were minority owned.
@Mairi-Ann Philip Guide A cop was shot entering the apartment by Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend. The other officers returned fire. There is no basis to charge them with anything.
💛🔴❣👌🔴
buying silence. i have the feeling there will be a ‘Breaking News’ about the perps in the future, they are known.
💜🖤
This case is weird cause now im seeing that they were at the right house an they had a warrant then the boyfriend shot first so they returned fire 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ sheesh this case giving me a headache
@Happy Face its sad that know one even tries to fact check, you don’t need to read a news article, you just need to go straight to the source, yet they still refuse to.
@Ashley Battey require land?? Bro, they found multiple felony drugs and felony stolen weapons at the location😂😂of course Taylor’s lawyer is trying to muddy the facts, he wants to get a pay day. If you knew how court works you would understand a bit more.
Jeremy Gray don’t try to make it seem like I’m stupid sir. I get lawyers are trained to find and gather evidence to fit their narrative. Again like I can go looks and read and retain information so can you. Red lining is a thing and they did 5 warrants that night to put those home owners in custody gather evidence to get their property to be valued to $1. I read the court documents. They didn’t do due diligence and they lied to obtain the warrant they got. There was no usps flagging her address and the tapes I’ve listened too stated she was not involved and listed another lady for holding money for them.
@Ashley Battey wrong again, what documents did you read? The home literally had drugs in it, breonna taylor and her boyfriend RENT an apartment, she isn’t even a home owner….please show me these verified court documents for taylor’s “owned property. She was in a rented apartment…what are you even talking about land ownership? .The only home on the warrant HAD what the warrant believed it would….also, if your home goes up for sale it means it was foreclosed on, meaning you’ve missed 120 days of mortgage payment to the banks with multiple notices, then it enters foreclosure and the bank owns the property again. Pretty sure the first guy was renting the home regardless and not an owner.
@Ashley Battey you’re literally pulling at strawman arguments now and ignoring the facts that their is so much documented evidence of all 3 being guilty of multiple felonies. But ok, must be the system out to get them, not the drugs, larcenies, stolen gun used in the comission of a crime found at the residence.
Cops need to be required to carry something akin to malpractice insurance. Maybe this will curb their murderous tendencies.
I guess they were wrong when they said crime doesn’t pay.
That’s exactly what this projects. It’s sad asf
💙🔴💌💝💜
So, the perpetrators have been effectively pardoned for their “brazen” attack.
Yep.
Next.
The police entered lawfully and were shot at. They defended themselves.
Yep.
Next.
Money cant bring her back
the city shouldnt have hired known conservatives to do a humans job
