It’s time to start talking a bit about those of us that think we might have caught it, never got a test, and now believe we are well.
@Chris Ducat It does, but antibody tests are only coming out now (first test tested for the virus proper).
This will soon be crucial if you want to ramp up everyday life again. Not an immediate priority, but eventually will have to be done.
Call the CDC there should be a number provided in your area.
Chris Ducat First, there is absolutely no need to call anybody “ignorant” or any other derogatory name. You don’t need to name call to make your point..
Second, at this point, we are so far behind in testing that I doubt it is possible to catch up on testing of those who may have had the virus but are now recovered for the sake of more accurate statistics.
Unfortunately, because the federal government wasn’t prepared. to test the masses, all medical resources at this point are overtaxed just trying to take care of the here and now. Figuring out who may have had the virus already but are now ok is far down the list of priorities at this point. Yes, I acknowledged that having accurate statistics is important ideally, but we are too far behind in testing to get accurate statistics retroactively. We still don’t have the testing capabilities to do testing at this point in time to determine accurate statistics in the here and now. While the number of reported deaths due to this virus is an accurate number, the reported number of cases of those infected is not remotely accurate and we have no way of knowing how many in the population have actually been infected and where they all are located because only an extremely small segment of the population has been tested to date. So, the scenario of what may be ideal informationally is a scenario that is long gone as a possibility. All that can be done for someone who thinks they may have had the virus but is ok now is to stay home from this point on as several commenters noted.
Even if someone who thought they had the virus wanted to get tested to determine whether they actually had the it, they would not be able to get tested at this point in time. So, given the reality of the current situation, I don’t believe the comment you characterized as “ignorant” is ignorant at all.

Chris Ducat there is no way to test after the fact. That is 100% FACT. Until they figure out how to test after the fact then there is nothing to do. I was sick with all the symptoms about 2 weeks before it got serious. Went to the dr 3 times. Got tested for the flu. It was negative. Not once did they want to do corvid testing. I wasn’t critical. I’m not a Selfish person so i stayed home for a week. Once I felt better I still wore an n95 mask. I did the responsible thing and tried to limit my interactions. My cough was so dry and hard that I was passing out from coughing so much. I’m better now. My mother in law is a nurse that is working directly with confirmed covid 19 patients. From what she’s seen she’s says she’s 99.9% sure I had it. What can I do about it now? So Stop acting like you know enough to call me ignorant.

All hotels near hospitals should be having beds used. And then they should be paid the same rate the hospital charges for a room by the federal government. Helps the quickly dying hotel industry with travel down 80% with out a bailout, provides individual rooms to quarentine patients, provides the surplus of beds hospitals are lacking.
Then call in your state reserve units for medical staffing and open volunteer options for medical trained persons.
