Rudy Giuliani can no longer practice law after his New York law license was suspended for communicating “demonstrably false and misleading statements… in his capacity as lawyer for former president Donald Trump.” The decision comes as he, along with Trump allies Sidney Powell and Mike Lindell, request Dominion Voting’s billion-dollar defamation suit against them be thrown out. He actually had a hearing if you read the opinion. He cited evidence but failed to documentation or proof of it. It appears that he represented himself at the hearing which is always a bad thing to do.
They don’t make clear is that there was a disciplinary hearing before the Bar and Rudy totally flubbed that. He appealed their ruling to the courts and that is what this is, the court is upholding the Bar committee to suspend him. Basically his worse crime is that he lied to a judge, numerous times in several states. Prosecutors have ABSOLUTE immunity except for one thing, they cannot lie to a judge. Do that and even they will get disbarred.
I’m a retired attorney and I remember Rudy from 9/11 when he was mayor of NYC and helped lead the nation through that crisis. What I see now is someone who is seriously suffering from dementia and sadly is leading millions of lemmings along with him.
