    1. It’s a “thousand cuts” sort of event. Further, crews need rest too for safety reasons.

    1. @AlanTheBeast100 if they made the electric cars so they did not need to be charged then I would look at one hell make it so the car can power a home

  1. Cant wait for batteries and salty roads to be charging at every house

    1. I lived through that one , it was not a picnic , we were begging for generators , mostly for heat , but many that were hooked up to generators when the power came back on , lost their furnaces from the power surge , I real nightmare , hope to never see a storm like that again in my lifetime .

  2. well, i bet the folks in Atlantic Canada are feel uncomfortable about their new energy deal now.

  3. This is eery. I just watched a documentary on the ice storms of 98 with my kids last night.

    1. Apparently, it would cost over 100 billion to do that for Quebec. That’s what the Quebec “premier” said anyway regarding the outages.
Specifically, to change the “grid” underground instead of tree level or above trees. He also said “Be realistic”, meaning they’re not going to spend 100 billion to do that, unfortunately.

    2. @KingZ of course not, they rather pocket that money and spend the rest on bloody rgb lights that are never seen under the bridge I just drove by. Champlain bridge if you’re wondering btw.

  4. Power outage test runs, preparing for future larger power outages by design. Transition to everything electric is an amazing idea ðŸĪŠ
