KY is a red state, people here are generally very conservative and religious; I think they see McConnell as someone who protects their values. Our current governor may be a Democrat, but he’s also a deacon, so I think that helped sway a few people. Like I said, he barely won the election last year, which is why I’m afraid McConnell will keep his seat. People will push even harder to keep their conservative representatives.
