    2. @Lynda D Hang in there my Victorian friend, you will soon join the rest of Australia’s low cases and restrictions soon I hope. I have to say although yes contact tracing did fail early on I am amazed that Victoria got cases down from about 500 per day to about 15 now give or take. Best of luck.

I hope your country can succeed especially because you were doing so well before.     4. @Lindsey Stein don’t agree with you that how far right a country is has anything to do with anything. The number of right wing extremists might correlate though as I expect it would with left wing extremists as to how effective a strategy is because in a well functioning society those people both on the left and right extreme are small in number and not too aggressive. So to me it’s more likely to do with how coherent a society is. If you look at Taiwan versus Mainland China you will see almost identical following of the rules even though one is far more authoritarian than the other. Success helps too and the neighborhood (surrounding countries or states) being successful. If Germany was in the West Pacific it would be doing better.

  3. Italy France Germany England Canada all closed their economy for at least 4 weeks and has strong national masks mandate I didn’t see no panic in these countries they all had under 50 000 deaths their economy are going better

    1. @Lynn Potter New Zealand has had 25 deaths from COVID, based on population the US would have had 1675 deaths from COVID now if it had had the same death rate as New Zealand. Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea, Finland, Norway, Germany and others have done similarly well. There is almost a direct correlation between poorly governed states and poor COVID outcomes. Italy, France the UK and the US are all poorly governed states.

We are by far, as Trump likes to say, #1 with the number of deaths at over 207,000, but we are only #11 with American deaths at 63 per 100,000 people. But keep defending your dear leader, he’ll tell you another phony cure you can try. Oh, I just realized who it is that does the thinking for you.

      Benefits:
      ZERO chance of catching ANY disease from a school.
      ZERO chance of another school shooting.

      Taxpayers can save TRILLIONS by permanently closing schools.
      Motorists can save BILLIONS in fuel costs, vehicle operating costs. And most importantly for many, precious TIME.

      Environmentalists can jump with glee since there is LESS pollution.

      Parents can actually spend time with their little hellions instead of dumping them off one others to raise and such.
      Parents can save a fortune on not having to buy school clothes.
      And with minimum productivity requirements, many kids that were held back due to ‘special needs’ kids can go at their own pace and rocket well past their educational constraints.
      One teacher can teach over 1,000 students or more at a time.
      School funding problems will disappear overnight (mostly due to the squandering of the revenue they HAVE been getting).

      Online colleges educate every day without a problem. So can public indoctrination centers aka public schools.

      The ‘social’ interactions is plain old garbage of an excuse.
      Every kid you see has their neck bent down using cell phones.

      Downside: LAZY worthless parents will have to babysit their OWN kids and at their OWN expense.
      Covid may be a blessing in disguise if we exploit it properly.

      Artificial Intelligence is coming fast. It never sleeps, tires, gets sick, gets cranky, distracted, goes on strike for more money to squander, etc. It is far more efficient them a person teaching.

USA is in the high risk group and therefore no countries will allowed travelers from USA. While other countries are opening their boarders, there are no international boarders open to America.   13. Trump our “President” is the number one person who is encouraging the spread of the virus because of his lack of leadership! He continues to hold rally’s with crowds of people not wearing masks. Wisconsin is getting worse and Trump has been there and is going there again. Trump is going to different states creating environments to spread the virus and “Kill” more people. Even for a lot of the people that don’t die, are left with various damage to their bodies that they will have to live with for the rest of their lives. They now have a pre-existing condition.
