@Raymond Serpa actually no, he had till the end of the fiscal year which ended back in Oct I think. Further more he only had 45 days allowed to hold the aid. Republican senators are on record, touting that the aid was only held for 53 days.
Add ontop of that trump was required to inform congress of the hold… he didnt… and he was required to inform congress of a reason why… he didnt…

Did trump notify congress of the hold? No, congress found out about the hold through the whistle blower complaint
Did trump give congress reasons for the hold? No, trump tried to cover up the hold all together, later claiming it was to fight corruption but this claim was not done under oath because the president refused to cooperate.
Did trump release the aid within the 45 days the president is legally allowed to hold it? No. It took atleast 53 days for the aid to be released and was only released after trump was informed that congress had begun an investigation into the hold and the reasons for it. The house began an investigation because they learned of the hold through the whistle blower complaint. This should never have happened as they should have already been informed of the hold.

I have looked over all of the evidence, testimony, the transcript, the whistleblower complaint, I’ve watched the impeachment hearings and listened to both sides.
Trumps own choice of words on the call and in the transcript link the aid to the investigations.
Now you can either argue that trump can speak properly and did so knowing full well the context of his words and what his choice of words would imply, which if this is your argument, you have to admit trumps word choice links the aid to the investigations.
OR you can argue that trump didnt speak properly. Either way trumps choice in words on that call reflect and corroborate the whistle blower complaint.
Ontop of which trump broke the law in holding the aid which he then linked to the investigations. Trump attempted to hide all this from congress.
So yes. I have picked a side because trump has blocked anyone who could disprove any of this from testifying. Trump could have ended this months ago but literally asked the house to impeach him so things could move to a trial in the Senate. In reality Republicans havent addressed a single thing. They all just say “its hearsay so it dont count”. But that’s not even how hearsay works! Hearsay is inadmissible in court *unless* it meets the requirements for an exception to the rule of which there are many. Video, audio, picture evidence that’s all hearsay evidence that needs to be corroborated to be admitted.
Trumps actions regarding the aid and his words in the transcript corroborates the whistle blowers complaint. Then you have the mountain of supporting details.
Republicans only defense is to say this is all biased and refuse to admit that people had a legitimate reason to believe that trump was witholding the aid for investigations which were political in nature

Kinda like when, you and I read the call notes for ourselves and found that Trump did in fact ask Ukraine to investigate Biden, and then Trump started saying it was a “perfect call” and read those call notes. As if we’d all just not see for ourselves he’d asked another country to investigate American citizens, one of whom just happened to be running against him.
I get that some of us love Trump. I love democracy so I’m alright with people loving and voting for whoever they want. Trump is an idiot. Any half decent politician would have engaged in such a scheme in a way that would have ensured there was plausible deniability and they wouldn’t have left their fingerprints all over it.
But Trump has never needed to operate in that manner doing real estate deals. He’s always been able to get away with acting like a mafia thug since he had no real oversight. But that doesn’t work in government where there is accountability. So yes, he is too stupid to realize that he can’t operate in the same way as he used to in his civilian life.
