She will be confirmed. She has all the democratic votes locked in.
Hope she doesn’t. Just because she is a woman and because she’s black does not mean she should be nominated. A senators race or sex should not represent their values or affect their judgements.
Usually nominees who were previously advocates for social justice don’t get accepted, and its because they often reflect a view which if implemented in law could have more negative connotations than positive.
I hope one day to see a black woman be accepted, but she shouldn’t be the one.
