@S Lordd not quite correct. He is a Ranger. He completed Ranger training. What he shouldn’t be doing is saying in political advertisements things like “as a Ranger, who has served in Iraq & Afghanistan” as he’s implying falsely that he served as a Ranger in Iraq & Afghanistan. He didn’t serve in any Ranger regiment. He knows this use of language by him is ambiguous at best and deceptive at worst. I believe he tried to use his Ranger course completion status to elevate himself in the eyes of voters.

I would say almost all of the Navy, most of the Marine Corps, do not know a Ranger from Ranger-qualified.
Not sure about Air Force as I didn’t serve with many of them.
For us (Marines) Ranger school had become a joke. As the reporter said, it’s sleep and food deprivation.
Old Ranger school (pre 1980s) was a serious and rigorous training school. Not so much any more. At least not to Marines.
His explanation is weak as hell. He is on record saying “my time in Afghanistan with the army rangers”. Don’t let him worm out of it. He went to ranger school; he knows exactly how he is supposed to present himself after that.
