@Mark Haddox l have voted in person and by mail. I would prefer, and will, vote by mail this November. This new garbage Trump is proposing came about because of his failure in handling the virus ( and l know he claims he saved so many lives by stopping all Chinese planes, but by that time it was also coming in from Europe, so that won’t fly) and the resulting crash of the economy. Trump was planning to run on both and had to find something else. He decided to cast doubt on the efficency of mail in voting. Also, the teacher in me feels compelled to correct an error. The verb (actually gerund) you were searching for was “affecting” not effecting.

He said “you should vote by mail, and then go in person and see if your vote was counted and if it wasn’t then you should vote in person.” So not really telling people to vote twice, just to make sure vote was counted. WHY can’t we vote the same way we’ve always voted(In Person, Absentee ballot). How come Democrats are so desperate to change the rules at the last minute? Are they trying to cheat?
