If what you say is true, then Trump doesn’t control the senate republicans either. You can’t say “core values” one way and then the other side of being partisan when one side is as close to unanimous as the other.

Trump does not control the Voice of the People. We must call the offices of our reps, “reps,” and the Committee Chairs to convey our support for impeachment and removal. We can make the Voice of the People relentless by sheer number by asking our friends and families to do the same. US Senate 202-224-3121. US House 202-225 3121. This is what moves these reps. It does work.*
*The first time the Rs attempted to pass their Anti Healthcare Bill, the objections of the People were so strong, the Congressional phone system crashed and the Rs refused to show up for the vote. The People showed up in reps’ offices, in DC and at home, in protests on the streets and in town halls.
really sad to see a coequal branch give away its ability to govern to a madman, I know some staunch republicans here at home who are disgusted with the party and have either decided to go democrat or independent over mcconnels weak leadership.
I really think the best thing for genuine principled constitutional conservatives would be to punish the Trump-Republican party in 2020. Don’t sit it out. Defeat Trump himself, no matter who the Dem nominee is, and also knock out as many of his cowardly enablers in Congress as possible.
Let it be undeniable that Trumpism is for losers. Maybe then a serious and patriotic conservative party can be reconstituted.

Thanks to the illegal, shameless and craven attitudes of these Republican Senators who act like he gave them life…he technically can control the Senate. It’s abhorrent, and its enough to make any sane person vomit, to see how this President has corrupted the balance of power between the Executive and Legislative Branch. This is why it is so important that voters this coming year elect Senators who can effective display much needed independence from this corrupt President and his allies. Even if Trump wins a second term, we need a Congress controlled by the Democrats in both the House and the Senate so Congress can finally be a check on the executive branch. Ideally, it would be moderate Republicans who would be willing to do bipartisan work, but I think its clear that there are no moderates in the Senate, only stooges for the Trump loyalists. This is seen by the brazen acknowledgement by these corrupt leaders that they will not even give lip service to the requirement that they be impartial jurors in an impeachment trial. They have sold themselves and this country for power and it’s up to *us* to check that power and drive them from office. If we stay complacent and just complain on YT and social media and don’t do anything, it will stay the same and get worse if Trump gets reelected and the Republicans keep control of the Senate. Vote Democrat this year and help ensure a proper separation of Powers again!
