Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's legal battle continues as the divorced movie stars face off in a $50 million (or more) libel trial.

The trial began April 11 in Fairfax County, Virginia, outside Washington, D.C., with a panel of 11 – seven jurors and four alternates – picked, according to Court TV, which is broadcasting the trial.
Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 35, for $50 million, alleging she defamed him in an opinion column she published in The Washington Post (which is printed in Fairfax County) in December 2018. In the column, she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse, a claim she first raised during their corrosive divorce proceeding in 2016 in Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, Depp is expected to take the stand in the tense trial.

I don’t think it’s ruined his career. It’s definitely sidelined it for a little bit. But he’s still a versatile actor who’s very respected. Amber heard on the other hand is about one second away from being blacklisted. Not that she has a huge catalog of work anyway.

Man I think he’s just naturally shy being himself 🥺 makes sense why he’s such a good actor he’s always protected his true nature which needs protecting. Also he speaks as someone does when they have been exposed to mental or emotional abuse let alone when they’ve been exposed to mental, physical & emotional abuse their whole existence 😞 I know because until I got into therapy I would explain myself this way – with very air thin hard memories I’d worked so hard to not remember so in trying to work through them I’d get side tracked and overwhelmed. When we remember we actually physically relive that trauma. I’m so damn proud of him.

Amber Heard is absolutely insane. The fact that she is now raising a child worries me. These two were toxic for one another. I’m sorry he’s having to tell his entire life story to the world to prove that he himself was abused, and she has ruined his career. I think he’s nervous, maybe a little embarrassed though he says not. At the end of the day I hope he wins. I very much believe men can be as abused as women, and it’s unfair it goes under the radar. I just feel for him and his family.
Yeah when I found out AH decided to have a kid a part of me broke on the inside… I know what it’s like growing up with parents like her and knowing that child is caught in that storm idk… it’s really terrifying to think about. I just hope the kid has at least one person there protecting them but sadly that most likely isn’t the case knowing that people like AH don’t like people around them that question their behaviors.
Who would’ve thought he would be so timid and shy just as himself. What he’s been through breaks my heart but I am not surprised because he has and always will be such a beautiful person and beautiful people are generally broken.
