    1. @Randi Bagley-Goodwin nice try but I’ve seen the “actual footage” and the the majority of people were just walking around taking photo and selfies. Just like I’m sure there many protesters there because of police brutality, but also many buildings destroyed and set ablaze, and I like how you said for good reason, so I guess your reasons are worth violence. I think you are full of it

    2. It depends what you call “extreme.” Everything is just a policy. Vote for it or don’t.

  1. Universal health care, free college, no money in politics, legalization of marihuana is not extreme. It is supported by 70% of Americans.

Others are extreme paid by lobbists.

    1. If you isolate those issues, you are correct. But progressives have way more ideas than that, and they’re not all polling at 70 percent!

  2. Haha 😂 I wonder why maybe bc the more conservative democrats get the big bucks and support from the donors and party establishment

    1. Why do you think big bucks are the deciding factor in elections? Do you think voters aren’t smart enough to know who the establishment candidate is and who the progressive candidate is?

    2. @Lebeau Muni not to mention, Bernie had way more money than Biden and got absolutely humiliated in 2020

  3. Am I watching Fox News? Such a service to listen to a multi millionaire try to steer the Democratic party to the right.

    1. Everyone not a Republican can be considered a Progressive. Not trying to roll the clock back to the 50s is progressive 🤣✌️

    1. @Stephen Hatt oh I agree with you. Even if you disagree with their politics,, cmparing the progressives to the MAGA folks is silly.

  4. Joe Biden, “I was the fascist swimmer in the pool yard. Corn Pop will tell you, I won all my racists.”

    1. Person woman man camera tv… covfefe

the difference? Trump actually said those things. You don’t need to make crap up to make Trump seem stupid. He’ll show you in bold sharpie every time.

  5. Why is Avlon neglecting the majority support for many “progressive” policies? When a policy is preferred by a majority of the voters, it deserves to be called centrist, not left or right.

    1. @Shark : The reason why politicians often win despite supporting minority-preferred policies is the primitive voting methods that democracies have always used, which count at most one of the majorities, which is often a coalition of “single issue” minorities. A truly democratic voting method would count all the head-to-head majorities. One of its important benefits would be to create a strong incentive for politicians to support majority-preferred policies, on many more issues.

    2. @Aquaman Von Floozerhoffen : No, the election results just show the result of primitive voting methods, which count at most one majority, which can often be a coalition of “single issue” minorities.

  6. *This is what actually happened. This video is not for kids, it’s shocking* EVERYDAYS.ICU
Mr. Dunn – respect to you.

    1. Are you ready? The kingdom of Heaven is at hand, repent and receive and confess Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and Lord and you shall be saved! Time is short. This is the time to wake up and be born of God. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Jesus is coming! You may check out of this world at a time. Jesus loves you. Get ready! Jesus is King! Shalom

    2. @Angelo Luigi Giachetti I’ve seen another one, different name, different link, the same line, “Mr. Dunn – respect to you.” I forget what the first line said. And someone made a comment about it getting 900 plus up votes in the space of 10 minutes.

    3. @Voice7MarieYeah,. I’m guessing that this is why Evangelicals have such a nihilistic streak. The end of the world is nigh, and nothing really matters. Not democracy. Not solving the nations many problems. Just throw up you hands cause Jesus is a coming.

  7. Policies some Americans consider ‘extremist’ are seen as ‘moderate’ by America’s allies. They include universal health care, government controlled prescription charges, and access to education. There is ‘safety net’ provision for financial assistance because of unemployment caused by mental or physical illness, age, disability or difficulty finding or accessing paid work.

    1. And those same countries can afford that because they hardly spent anything in their military, which USA can’t do, otherwise the entire Western power Bloc would be in a serious threat

    2. @An American Patriot Australia, a wealthy country, is an example of humanitarian policies that protect people’s health. The USA can easily afford to be less draconian.

    3. @Nil Nil USA military employees generally spend all their wages / salaries, which means that all that money is rapidly back in circulation, supporting goods and services.

  8. 2 things: stood out here… No mention that the GOP actively funds the far right and Democrats don’t fund the Progressives also the Democrats actually do ads to promote far Right candidates over Progressives. Definitely no mention that Biden didn’t beat trump because anyone wanted him as President, he won because we didn’t want trump. On top of that, James Carval couldn’t be more out of touch

  9. As a progressive, I think it is good that we have diversity of policy and diversity of thought in the Democratic party. I think the progressive primary challenges make mainstream candidates look more appealing to independents and it raises the profile of progressive policy stances. And some progressives still win – look at Maxwell Frost in Orlando – he will be the youngest person ever elected to the House of Representatives.

    1. I’m more center left.

I agree that more diversity of opinion is helpful, but I struggle with accepting the movement. It seems like the entire shtick is just shitting on people with ideology more like mine.

Warren is the exception to this. I don’t agree with her on policy, but I respect her a lot, trust her, and I want her in rooms where decisions are made.

People like AOC, in contrast, seem more interested in insulting voters like me than getting anything done

  10. As a Canadian, it’s so interesting to see “moderate” Americans so gleeful and vindictive pointing out losses for those who desire policies like free public healthcare, gun control, separation of church and state, and tackling climate change. Such odd behaviour.
