This is the second time AG Barr is undermining an investigative report. How will he be held accountable for behaving like Trump’s criminal defense attorney rather than an AG?

Carl Klopfenstine read the IG report. It’s very damming on its own. It doesn’t exonerate anyone. This is not real news. The IG report alone is BAD. Furthermore, what fakeNews doesn’t tell you is that Barr and Durham have a much broader scope in this investigation.. they know more than the IG, as they travelled out of the Country and investigated/interviewed informants. They also have prosecutorial power, and the IG doesn’t. The GOP is not happy about the abuse of power at the highest levels of the FBI and CIA, but unlike Joe, they realize the IG’s job was to give a thorough report and that’s what he did. His opinion is of no consequence to what Barr and Durham are investigating. Btw, you have to have a pretty low IQ after reading the text at the FBI, Comey and Brennan’s tweets to believe their was no political bias. Why would you even believe these people. Goodness gracious, Kay, you can’t be that dense! Do you even have any idea what the US Attorney General is supposed to do? For one thing, he/she doesn’t work as the personal defense lawyer of the US president. Presidents have slews of the best private attorneys in the country at their disposal; the Attorney General works for the American people. In fact, when a president is under investigation, the Attorney General has to step away from that president until the investigation is concluded and the results have been made known to the people. As the head of the Justice Dept, the AG is directly involved in the process of investigating a president. Even when familial ties exist between the US president and the AG (president JFK and his brother Robert are perfect examples), there can be no special favors from the Dept. of Justice if the president happens to be the person under investigation. By the same token, the head of the Executive branch cannot instruct that Department not to investigate the Attorney General. Abuse of power, obstruction of justice, and something called conflict of interest are certainly not the types of Constitutional offenses that a president or an attorney general should be associated with. However, corruption at the top has a way of running downhill and drenching whoever stands below the summit.
