@Lennard Kahn By NOT paying attention to Dr Fauci, acknowledged as one of the world’s leading epidemiologists, the USA lost control of the virus and its spread. Yes, at first he did say not to wear masks. That was specifically to protect PPE stock for medical staff when it was in short supply. He quickly admitted he was wrong and mask wearing was imperative, but by then Trump had made mask wearing a purely political issue, and has been disrespecting Fauci ever since.
Why is this? That’s easy. A true narcissist like Trump CANNOT under any circumstances admit they were wrong, or change their stated position on any subject, therefore admitting they were mistaken. Once trump decided his base were not wearing masks, whether it would save lives or not, the die was cast. Hundreds of thousands have died as a direct result of his negligence.
