Jane Mayer, chief Washington correspondent for The New Yorker, says Charles Koch’s regrets over fueling the nation’s partisan divide is part of a biennial effort to rebrand his political motives. She tells Lawrence O’Donnell Koch still oversees a “stunningly powerful political machine” that is already starting to fund another generation of Republican candidates that Koch hopes will serve his interests. Jane Mayer: Charles Koch’s Partisan Regrets Are Part Of Cyclical | The Last Word | MSNBC
The Koch Brothers are evil & have brought us the likes of the Bush’s & Donald tRump.
The N W O brought you Josef Biden.
@RFI-Crypto Lab Dark money forever needs to be outlawed in politics
Crap is crap & far as I’m concerned you can try to re-brand crapola like the Koch’s but I’m not buying it!
Anyone defending the Kochs in these comments has been brainwashed to be part of the problem.
These old men don’t think they’re ever gonna die. The real problem is there are people who know better and go along with them anyway.
Reagan opened the door for those elite greed driven morons
It’s actually more that they opened the door for Reagan.
@DynaCatlovesme true, it was a perfect marriage
End Citizen’s United. The billionaire class has owned our politics for too damned long.
Big money and dark money are corrupting government and killing America. GOP plutocrats bought the Senate, the White House, and SCOTUS. Citizens United must be overturned for the swamp to be drained, to have clean government that serves the American people–not primarily the rich and powerful Republican elite.
Only politicians can do that.
Hear hear
Scaredy-cat scaredy-cat little Perdue hides like a rat 🐀
GOP cult: “Democracy is great…only so long as we can subvert it to gain power and maintain our corrupt, plutocratic, minority fascist rule!”
David Plouffe, former speechwriter for W Bush, said, “When conservatives lose elections, they will not reject conservatism. They will reject democracy.”
@Jason Boyce ~ Nothing conservative anymore about the radical extremist Republican cult. Now, it’s all about fascism. Besides, fiscal and social conservatism have traditionally mostly been just a façade for GOP corruption, racism and bigotry. But they have been rejecting democracy for some time. Lately, Republican cult has taken to insisting that the U.S. is a republic, not a democracy.
Which is utter nonsense, since anyone who’s ever had a civics class knows it’s both, and that we wouldn’t have a republic without democracy. It’s a Constitutional republic, it’s a democratic republic, it’s a representative democracy, it’s a democracy, it’s a social democracy–it’s all of those things, of course.

Koch and Murdoch are amongst the most evil people on the planet.
A “criminal justice system” that cannot put these people behind bars does not deserve the name.
Don’t forget Mitch in that bag of crap.
Koch money funds a network of nonprofits that border PACs across the country. They are designed to keep far right people in state government.
The Kochs can support even the US enemies if it serves their interests
A “philanthropist” who puts gaining ever more money he will never spend over the futures of billions of people.
Just one Koch brother left now? Grim reaper can’t come soon enough.
Hi. Either the title is unfinished, or “Cyclical” wants to be “Cycle”. Still available for proofing. 🙂
Good catch!
The Kochs unleashed the Tea Party and Trump on the world.
Volunteer or donate to Jon Ossoff and Rev. R. Warnock to get them elected in Georgia.
Politics and Prose has Jane speaking about her book. She is wicked smart. Recommend
Koch’s are fascist. They owe cleanup to earth. People know.
Koch is a hypocrite. Anyone who believes him needs a reality check.
