The attorney representing two Sandy Hook parents in the Alex Jones defamation case said that numerous federal and state investigators, including the House panel investigating the January 6, 2021, insurrection, have asked him to hand over text records mistakenly sent to him by the right-wing conspiracy theorist's law firm. #CNN #News

Judge to rambling Jones:
“This is not your show.” 😆
@David C I got $20.00 on you’re one of the ones who threatened the parents.
@William Russell I got $1,000 that says I’m not. How about that?
@William Russell hey what side of the political isle does the judge sit with? Yeah I rest my case FBI agent.
@David C it’s a good time to be invested in lamotrigine with all you people running around.
@William Russell nobody cares what you have to say
Telling Alex Jones that he’s under oath is like asking a dog to recite Macbeth.
@Milky Way Read his text messages 🤭
or telling a pooch don’t eat the choclates
they should get ten times what they are asking for.
@Patrick A so here’s my take as someone who worked in the area during this. I hated Alex Jones. This doesn’t have to be a left vs right thing. I had to deal with a few emails and phone calls and messages not many just a few from conspiracy theory people on YouTube and Facebook but not Alex Jones. When I gave them information that debunked some of their crazy theories they didn’t want to talk to me anymore because it didn’t fit their narrative. I believe Alex really thought what he said was to be true. A lot of what he does is satire. But it gets to a point where you can only push something so far before it becomes distasteful. And that’s what he did. And as much as I hated him during that time I don’t believe his reach goes that far like they want to make it seem but I can tell you that because of the things he said and other people who were conspiracy theorists had said it did put a lot of stress on the community and the families involved. And I know this from personal experience. From a legal perspective I don’t claim to be a lawyer but in my experience with lawsuits seeing them and being involved in a few not sure how it works out where if you’re not worth 150 million how do you expect to get the $150 million dollars? I also don’t know how money solves this either. But I can empathize with family for wanting money in a sense because it’s the only way they can hurt him because they feel wrong by him and it’s totally understandable. Then on the flip side I think well he’s admitted he was wrong he’s apologized for it and I believe him. In a way this is kind of an attack on Free speech but it’s kind of not I don’t want this guy to be silenced because believe it or not he’s been right about quite a few things. Like Epstein’s Island for example he’s been talking about that for over a decade and people brushed it off and well, look what happened it was all real. I don’t like the idea of being able to silence people just because they ask questions or don’t believe a narrative. And like I said earlier I think he took it a little too far because I remember very distinctly hating him because of his views opinions and his voice on Sandy Hook. Just my 2 cents
@Raphael Mastromonaco damn that was a bit to read. But I appreciate your response, and so I did read it fully, hence my response:
Honestly, I agree with 90% of your last comment, but I’m not sure where you thought I was saying something along the line you inferred.
The only thing I would disagree with, respectfully, is him apologising. He said he was wrong after months… yet he subsequently shouted at the parents in court. Said he knew nothing of the txts after being confronted with them, plus a bit more. This is another habitual liar, and his actions show more than his words. His apology is not something that will erase the effect and affect he had on the parents, families, schools and communities…
If he was parroting other conspiracy theorists, he should do the research, not just agree and use it to scaremonger.
Lastly, he’s never been satire… please!?! Never…
@King Brian you believe everything you see on the web?
@R McK just came back to say… I’m glad I was correct, and that there’s another 40+ million he’ll need to pay! While there’s never anything that could bring real justice… at least one set of parents have a little closure/confirmation of their correct fight for justice.
P.s. appreciate your edit acknowledging my comment 🙂
@Patrick A – Thank you. Unfortunately Texas limits punitive to 2x compensatory + $750k. That brings the net total to $13.15m.
Let’s hope that with the families/legal actions, that it’s more. Nevermind the fact that Jones, the criminal/sociopath that he is, has already hidden a ton of money away.
In the end, I feel that karma will indeed catchup with Mr. Jones and I hope this is only the beginning :).
Who else knew this would happen even before the plaintiffs attorney mentioned texts between the defendant and Roger Stone? I love it! Now that’s karmic Justice.
@Jacki Bierman
Oooooh and the texts contain intimate language between AJ and RS…..😳
@Steppenwolf
🎶 to my ears 🎵
@Harold Moore 🤣🤣🤣🤣😍
@Harold Moore AH no.. but I think some Democrats are, so says the rumor mill.
@Bonnie Nelson for what? Name the crimes.
Poor Alex.He’s having a kind of a rough week.
It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. Justice is coming. Cause justice matters.
That’s what I tell my kids about alex and Brittney. Both deserve what they got. The smell of justice is pog.
That’s what I tell my son about Alex and Brittney.
Wow! Accidentally sent the integrity of his phone to the lawyers on the other side.
How to say my client is a scumbag without saying my client is a scumbag and I am going to help the people he hurt with his lies! I love it. Well done. Love it.
Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving jerk!
@PhilLesh69
I wonder the same thing. He could have read some crazy stuff, and felt those, not just the sandy hook texts should be known.
Alex won
@James Taylor No mistrial, love. Jones is going to jail.
Maybe the paralegal that sent it “accidentally” had a soul?
@qweef69
🤔
@Zach Riley
He’s such a liar that when the prosecutor told him he’d had his text messages for 2 week, he tried to appear cooperative and said he sent the text to him.
@Veronica Stewart my suspicion, if that is the scenario, would be that it would HELP them find a better one, more to their liking.
Maybe, but Alex Jones’ lawyers were informed (directly) of the mistake and didn’t take the necessary legal action to protect the information. Truly amazing incompetence.
2 years of texts will be a treasure trove for the January 6th and department of Justice investigations
Please, let this have serious Karma for So many. Trump
@Joyce Moore karma. Is a. Knockin. On. D. Door. Americans. Are. Disgusted. And. Angry. !!!!!!!
Jones’ lawyers must have told him to stop saying things during his TV show that damage his case in court, and he keeps doing it anyway. I’m pretty sure they’ve just given up.
@John Durrer They typically ask for way too much just to not accidentally undershoot the actual amount, according to an actual lawyer, so the $150 million is probably a ridiculous number they never actually expected. What I’m hearing is: the $4 million is just an initial award amount, the total actual damages are still being worked out, then there is also punitive damages on top of that that can be up to 10 times the actual amount to be decided on in the next step of the process. In the end, it’s going to be a fair bit more than $4 million.
@John Durrer Then there is also the perjury and bankruptcy fraud that have already been proven, that he will be charged with. Not to mention the phone information being handed over to the January 6th committee.
@John Durrer I don’t think Alex Jones feels like he won. He’s in an awful lot of trouble.
@John Durrer They just added $45.2 million to the original $4.1 million, making it $49.3 million at this point.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, Very true absolutely
Oh boy when the plaintiff’s lawyer told him that his lawyer inadvertently sent them two years of his phone records,the look on his face priceless.
@I control my own guns As others have pointed out, the trial already happened, jones did not show so by the law was found guilty. His fanboys are screeching unfair, but that’s the law. This is about the size of award to the plaintiffs. Do you really not follow the news?
@I control my own guns A mistake by an incompetent lawyer does not warrant a mistrial! 😏 He should hand over the material to the Jan 6th committee and any law enforcement agencies that has requested it. Alex Jones needs to be punished! He is a loon!
It’s not just texts, it’s an actual duplicate of his phone, so it’s EVERYTHING. Emails, texts, call records, files & photos.
the face that he was just betrayed and started thinking what his lawyer must of put inside his phone, why would he send that without his consent if not to do something he would be against
@Jeff Simpson the epitome!! 🤣
Can you just IMAGINE the look on Mark Bankston’s face when he realized he was reading pure GOLD??!!
@Jamtommy Source?
@Jeff Petrie
Do you have a computer or cell phone with internet access ?
I like how he tried to take control of the conversation after he found out about the text messages. He totally forgot where he was.
Yes, totally tripping over his own gaslighting.
“Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy”
Well said.
There’s child porn on his phone also. Lawyer turned over to Fed’s.
You drone!
This is gonna be extremely interesting.
There had better be a RICO case soon.
👀
Oh my goodness….”intimate language” between him and Roger Stone!
@EJB so was guilty not guilty enough for you? You need him to be extra guilty before you leave your cult?
“Clear cut case of perjury” The judge flat out said Jones had lied to the court twice! Ya think? lol
Does he lie? He couldn’t lie straight in bed. Lol
Does anybody ever gets jailed for perjury?
“See…..this is your Perry Mason moment”, says Alex Jones. Actually, it was more of an Alex Jones on the very, very short bus moment.
Grant Smythe so true friend!
Kinda like your grandparents in 1944
I say! A veritable yellow unicycle!
That’s the question I asked. Alex Jones’ attorneys allowed him to go on the stand KNOWING they gave over these emails!!!
Jones clearly is his own worst enemy., with his lawyers being a close second.
