Fred Rogers a real alpha man
I do not get where you think he is an Alpha man when he like children? I think he may have an issue calling him that.
Ben DC4L
Time travel isn’t funny.
As if Mr. Rogers could talk sense into Republicans! Wishing it were so won’t make it so, thus this seems piece seems rather pointless. Personally, his show didn’t air until starting school, and as a first-grader was a book-worm able to appreciate Plato, got taunted by older kids it was a put-on; that the book was carried around merely to pretend to be smart! Well, remember it hurting some, but understood even back then it was the tormenters who were the lesser. Anyway, the point being that found Mr. Rogers rather simplistic and stupid growing up, and it wasn’t until more mature that respect for the man and his work grew. For Republicans, they may have loved him as a kid, but as political adults, many viewed him as an effeminate liberal seeking to overthrow traditional America–more someone to hate and be suspicious of than as any kind of hero. Complete nonsense, but for years, that is what passes for Republicanism in America. The GOP doesn’t listen to Bill Nye, the science guy, much less Mr. Rogers!
@wily wascal If Democrats didn’t have emotional responses from Trump then there would be no impeachment. There is no problem talking to Republicans with logic. They don’t buy into the media BS and most of it has been debunked. No Nazi. No Russian. No BS. Obama ran on ending wars, fixing immigration, lower taxes and adding jobs, same as Trump. Enjoy the uselessness.
0:40 – 1:04 “the saddest truth is that it does’t hurt everybody’s heart”
Now that’s how evil people have become. Trump speaks to those people through all the rhetoric, bigotry and hatred.
I see you everywhere on youtube Bryan tyler Cohen, here…your comments are always spot on…you go girl we need more people like you.
@Garry G ditto
All those future astronauts and engineers
Gosh, I remember walking in the hallways of school when I heard Mr. Rogers passed.
_🏰🙊💔_
Fred Rodgers is a true American hero.
@Ed S you are aware Fred Rogers served in the Marines?
@Ed S you are aware Conald bone spurs Drumpf dodged the draft?
Bo The Beerded …lol that is an urban legend. He never served. Check his Wikipedia page.
Rachel Ash …5 times
@Ed S wow…that’s disappointing, thanks.
Yeah, I recently got really emotional watching clips of him, sweet man. ❤️
Daundre S. Wow. Ck yourself
I grew up in the 60s and early 70s watching him. I always felt he was positive. I think he would be disappointed by today’s America. Not a ‘beautiful day in the neighborhood’ very often anymore.
But there still are good people out there, I meet them every day, so there is still hope 🙂
@Ar D I never heard that, read that or anything else (and I’ve researched it online, etc). Probably made up by some idiot who watches Fox News all day 🙂
Guess it shows, can’t believe everything you hear.
William Miller
Made up by someone who watches *no news all day.
@Ar D You’re right. Someone made that up about Mr. Rogers, I couldn’t find one single reliable source saying he ever did anything bad.
Someone claimed he was an ex-Navy Seal who had many kills to his name, for example, stuff like that. But it was all proven to be false (but if he had been a Navy Seal, I wouldn’t necessarily say that was bad, I respect the Navy Seals).
Just people with nothing better to do all day than try and ruin a good man’s name.
William Miller
Yea, I’m pretty sure mr Rogers didn’t publicly murder small animals in an effort to intimidate his tv crew.
I really like mr Rogers. That’s a good way to be for like an hour every day. Obviously you can’t be that nice all the time, but it’s nice to be around it for a while.
Good dude.
I love Mr. Rogers and as a child I so wished he was my dad . His kindness and overall good quality helped me know good people exist in the world . I’d like to think of him as alive and watching over all the children of the world . ❤️🙏 May be always be my neighbor .
He is. And He will. 😊
It’s fitting that Tom Hanks, one of Hollywood’s nicest guy would play him
Never liked him. Wimpy
Well said. He was a good man and cared about people, especially children. Tom Hanks is the perfect person to play this role 🙂
Mr. Rogers will always be alive in the hearts of those who love him and the minds of those who remember what he taught us. Just like what Bruce Coville wrote – “Nothing you love is lost.”
Mr. Roger a total OPPOSITE of trump in every way.
@Dalai Lama quit trying to make “ok Boomer” a thing. It’s not fetch!!
@Dol l retired to Costa Rica.
@Lord Vader bot five
@Dalai Lama Hey, it’s that thing millennials say when they lose an argument.
@DOUGLAS HOTCHKISS I’m curious as to which of my comments promped you to come to the conclusion that I am a “bot”? My initial comment was directed to the OP.
My son with ADHD sat still for Mr. Rogers.
You can bet Democrats are being paid large dollars to make fools of themselves. Impeachment is about careers, party and donors.
@Robert Clawson The Republican mind hard at work and failing miserably.
@Robert Clawson It’s funny when you right wing idiots pretend to be Democrats, or black, or a woman to try and make your bullshit seam more reasonable. It just goes to show that even you know that you are not credible.
@Robert Clawson you’re a polyp on the colon of humanity.
A heartwarming message. I’ve grown up with those values but, a big but, sometimes in life you just have to deal with a bully on his own terms. It’s very damaging to you on lots of levels, and the damage lingers long afterwards, but you have to do it. People like Trump rely on others walking away. The general message to society is great, but Trump himself as the figurehead of this is barely a human being at all and incapable of embracing redemption if it were offered. It’s right to be angry sometimes, as long as you use it for the right reasons and in the right way. Check out Aristotle on the subject. Or reflect on 1789 the next time that ****ing charlatan hugs a flag like it was some swatch he’d picked out for one of his crappy hotels.
Jesus Christ was the original radical leftist.
Radical leftists killed over 100,000,000 people in the 20th century, and followed the teaching of an atheist; not a good analogy.
One of the best monologues in a long time Jake. Just great. Thanks.
I’m not 100% sure, but I’d venture to guess that Mr. Rogers would advocate:
* Truthfulness
* Honoring the oath one takes to preserve the constitution
* Not committing acts of extortion, bribery, gross human rights violations, misogyny, sexual assault (just to name a few)
* Journalism that is fact-based and that serves the public interest (not ratings, not profits, not white nationalism)
But also kindness to the ones who break those rules
Amen
I grew up watching Mr. Rogers. Every child should experience his teachings. Mr. Rogers was a great human who taught life skills with love and understanding.
Fred Rogers was an important figure in my childhood.
What I’ve learned about him as an adult only makes those sweet memories deeper.
I miss him. I miss kindness.
“Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You” – Following the golden rule may not always result in anyone being treated well, but at least those individuals can walk away knowing they made the effort.
Based on the messages in his show, policy wise, he’d be for Bernie Sanders. No question.
Although I am sad Mr. Rogers is no longer with us I am glad he doesn’t have to witness the hatred and divisiveness in our country.
Mr. Rogers was a nice person. Trump is the living, breathing epitome of evil.
