  1. If he strictly posted a pic of himself and the new baby, he could be forgiven. When he chose to tag and post the name of furniture in his post that forgives goes out the window…….It’s one thing to stay relevant to the times and be in contact with young and older voters….but I’ve found his TikToks a bit ify too…

    1. I agree… when I post about what I’m doing/thinking, I NEVER even thing of including a plug for the chair I’m sitting in (it’s fabulous, btw), the underwear that I’m wearing or anything else (perhaps, that’s how the internet culture and new economy works, but I’m not there). Hey – if they paid me, I’d be all in (hint hint, sponsors), but I’m not a public official – and even I know better that to be sitting in public office promoting stuff that my wife is vested in. Dumb and unnecessary by Mr. Singh.

  2. Little bit of who cares… but at the same time it’s the NDP… they don’t belive others should do well over others…

  3. What an age to live in, politicians getting “busted” for accepting thousand dollar chairs and we spend more money talking about it. Yallz need to go the thrift store and buy that $10 chair 😀

    1. @User572 he was gifted a chair free because hes a political figure aka with influence. If they gifted me a chair and i did the same it wouldnt be an issue.

    2. @User572 yes, which is illegal for a political figure to do. this is why the ethic’s board is “looking into it”. hes a politician not a youtuber. it may have been a different case if he didn’t tag the company in the photo.

    3. @User572 right… you cant do that in office it comes off as quid pro quo. Whether that’s what this is or not is irrelevant.

  4. While you are at it, also investigate his sympathy towards Khalistan activities while have soiled Canada’s relations with 2nd largest market in the world… yep INDIA.

  5. The ndp stopped being the party of the working class when they turned their backs on the real estate file. Wonder how many Toronto condos Jagmeet owns?

  6. embarrassing … how does anyone get to this level and have “no idea” this has bad optics? If they are that oblivious and/or dumb….then they are not smart enough to be in these positions. Congrats on your baby…there was no need to go for InstaFame.

    1. They don’t, they were just hoping not to get caught. The ethics rules are clear and concise. The problem is he has no ethics.

  7. Anyone married to a so-called ‘influencer’ should not be the leader of a Canadian political party or even an elected representative. Singh needs to go!

  8. I was about to vote for him but not now,any political leader who sells out or advertising any company even if it’s Canadian makes me question their price for them to be bought by foreign entities/governments

    1. I’d be more worried about all of the insider trading. He got a $2000 chair because his wife is an influencer. Trudeau, OTool and all of their caucus made millions of dollars insider trading. They all deserve to go to prison.

  9. Having a lapse of judgement on such an obvious conflict makes you wonder about the thought process he has in other areas.
