    1. @Kay Skywalker lol would you believe me if I told you that I am actually cutting onions as we speak?? I just harvested a handful from my garden and am pickling them. Hahaha (also crying for the Orca!)

    2. Being a Mother, I felt her pain. This was one of the saddest things I’ve witnessed in the Water World. Wish we could have hugged her at that time.
Her joy and happiness can also be seen and felt now…Life can be so mysterious and hard but also, So Amazing.

    1. @Christina 2.0 The orcas, including this pod are seen off my island in the same strait on the regular, so overdevelopment didn’t force them out.

    2. @Dennzer1 Well thanks to quarantine commercial fishing paused for the most part. Looks like the srkws are recovering at least a little.

  1. Wow a story without fear and pandemic pumping and what? No talk about not opening until a mandatory vaccine?

    I must be dreaming

    1. It did. They just had a new one. Don’t believe all of the BS these money hungry environmentalist groups tell you.

    2. Rob Lockhart You call the decline in Chinook salmon, manmade noise, pollution and ship strikes BS? Those are real threats that threaten the Southern Residents and have killed dozens of them, along with live capture.

Please do some research instead of spouting ignorant crap

    3. Shut up! I’ve spent my entire life on the water and know more about these whale than you ever will. Stop spreading your BS

    1. @Karla de Sa I think she is talking about the first part of the title. I saw that video a while back. Heartbreaking. Our fellow mammals grieving like we do breaks our hearts. It kind of makes me think even more about how similar we are vs different.

  2. It would be really nice if YouTube didn’t put up two suggestion windows on the screen as the video is still playing.
Was unable to see drone images and read the captions.

  3. for those on phones, the last two lines read:

Drone images captured in July helped researchers confirm that J35, or Tahlequah, was pregnant.
Researchers believe the new birth brings the total southern resident killer whale population to 73.
