The Presidential Election is in less then 2 months. That’s not enough time to properly vet someone and get all of the Senators (1/3 of whom are up for reelection) together for a vote. Ultimately, either Trump needs to get reelected or Biden will get elected, then in 2021 a new Justice will be put on the Supreme Court.
