This is why I took my mail in ballot to the polls yesterday and traded it for an in person ballot. I just did not not want to overload the system with one more mail in ballot. Hopefully we will get a Democratic legislature and fix our counting problems, which are really Banana Republican voter suppression problems.
Philadelphia, which procured a ton of equipment to handle the mail-ined /dropped off ballots…something never done before the June primary…., spent all day yesterday, much of last night and right now, counting those ballots. The people working on this, headed by Lisa Deeley, should be commended at least a little for their work and service but they won’t. Of course, in person, voting went on too yesterday.

@Lucinda Waugh Because of the pandemic, many states received a massive number of absentee ballot requests. Their voting infrastructure was not set up to handle it, and many do not allow any processing of the mail in vote before the polls close. In my state, we’ve voted exclusively by mail for two decades, and the votes are processed as they come in and counted when election day begins. Our counting is completed.

Be confident folks. There have been 70 million mail-in votes nationwide that for the majority aren’t still counted. As Biden voters did far far more mail-in voting there’s a lot that can happen. Results are clear when the last vote has been counted, because every vote matters. Stay calm and safe folks

IMPORTANT ELECTION QUESTION; PLEASE RESPOND: Why is no channel reporting about the EXTRA couple of DAYS that each state *is legally allowed* to RECEIVE THE mail in votes LATE due to the whole DeJoy USPS delay??
Not every state expanded the deadline. Oregon required votes to be received by election day, but we are used to voting by mail. But, states like Iowa are supposed to count the votes mailed by election day, and yet they are already calling it.
