With a majority win for Francois Legault's CAQ in Quebec and one for Doug Ford's PCs earlier this year, that's two of Canada's most populous provinces where provincial Liberals have been steamrolled. Pollster Nik Nanos and CTVNews.ca's Michael Stittle discuss what this could mean for the for the federal party.
You don't want to miss Nik's latest seat projections, which show Conservative support is strengthening in key battlegrounds and which ridings that were awash in Liberal red in the last election are now too close to call.
And it's been 5 years since Jagmeet Singh became leader of the NDP. Nik looks at where he and the party are now compared to back then when it comes to his party's brand, and what Canadians think of his leadership.

CTV News is Canada's most-watched news organization both locally and nationally, and has a network of national, international, and local news operations.
Trudeau better be in trouble for how he governed Canada just look at his record!!!
The carbon tax is insane
He better be
Ford didn’t have “a big win” nor is his Liberal “lite” brand strong.
He was elected with the smallest voter turnout in Ontario history and won because there was little on offer from the alternative parties.
@Colin Colin I agree it doesn’t matter which side you vote for they are both low rent!
@Mellie Fair enough.
@Mellie Not as divisive as Trudeau!
@Colin Colin oh I agree but voter turnout will be huge this time around. Everybody who pays attention is pissed
@dave macdonald I stated my opinion…I do not care if you agree or not!
Trudeu is the political equivalent of Calvin without the mitigating voice of Hobbes…
Trudeau is done! Unless he rigs the elections
I wouldn’t put it past him
That is the biggest concern for Canadians.
@Mstr. Bates It’s not, and it’s not even a reasonable concern. He’s also got another three years on his term before an election is likely.
Of course he’s in trouble! Canadians are tired of his crap and are ready for him to go.
He was just voted in. LOLZ. You new here?
I’m hoping all Canadians will vote against Trudeau, just as I hope all Victoriansa will vote against Dan Andrews, both evil to the core. Go Canada, make Canada a great place again, support from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Completely deluded trend line. I’m sorry but harking back and comparing to the great Harper years is nothing less than insulting. If that’s the conservatives finest hour… wow…
Listening to these two is like listening to Burt and Ernie stating the obvious, such deep analysis.
Brilliant comparison!
I’d say more like Statler and Waldorf
LMAO That’s awesome!
@fuzzy bib LOL That is also awesome!
No. Burt and Ernie are more respectable, and have a higher I.Q.
Nic Nanos’ most dreaded report. He looks so sad at the beginning of the video 😂
That’s just his face. Don’t read anything into it.
Trudeau is oblivious.
Everyone knows he is done , except him!
If it is the worst that happens to him after all he has done, he is lucky. He should be in jail.
It doesn’t take a genius to see that Canadians hate Trudeau and Freeland
Freeland yes Trudeau no.
@Cr Hu Oh if you don’t hate Trudeau you’re not paying attention
JT knows where his dinner hangs
Most Canadians don’t know who Freeland is. You’re overestimating the average Canadian in a big way.
It’s almost as if Trudeau has been doing a terrible job.
NDP is just a stone in the road way without program.
Remove him … period he is an evil
Nanos is my optic in his data analysis. The variables in play leading to any Federal election are beyond Nickie’s ability to decipher. Nano stalks a big game but is really a minor leaguer.
Funny that you need a Nanos poll to tell you trudue is in trouble
It’s pretty embarrassing, but pretty much anyone with some education and credentials would be more qualified to lead the country than our current PM. There are so many intelligent Canadians, I have a hard time understanding who voted for a snowboard-instructing drama teacher to run our nation.
