Inviting convicted killer Colin Thatcher to Saskatchewan throne speech ‘an error in judgment’

A Saskatchewan MLA is calling his decision to invite convicted killer Colin Thatcher to the legislative building on Wednesday an error in judgment.

MLA Lyle Stewart said in a statement Thursday, it was his decision to invite Thatcher to the throne speech. He called Thatcher a “constituent and long-time friend.”

  1. Anybody who’s OJ’d their wife shouldn’t be allowed in the public eye, specifically due to situations such as this 😂

  2. To this day I can still hear my mother’s scream when she received the phone call that her best friend was murdered. In my opinion he should still be in jail.

  3. Only in Canada would this happen. A convicted murderer invited to sit in on a Throne Speech. I call for Lyle Steward to resign.

  4. This tells you exactly who the Sask Party is. Born and raised here and you see this south of the border but now you know it’s here and has been for awhile.

  5. He served his sentence and his presence might serve as a reminder to law makers that they are not above the law.
