Liberal logic: Climate change is an “existential” crisis because it will impact future generations. Government overspending, despite the horrific impact on future generations, is okay because we are currently facing a “pandemic”. Interesting how a long-term view on some issues catapults certain policies forward but a short-term view to the detriment of the long-term is just fine and dandy for other issues.
