Gov raised carbon tax on April 1. Affects transport cost of items that is passed to the retailer, and the retailer passes that cost to consumers by raising the retail price. Not just food, almost on everything else that needs to be transported (which would be most consumer items). M_ain st_ream me_dia however will not report on this.
its because they want to make as much money as possible off of the working class. It was never about inflation.

Inflation over the last 9 months is running under 2% annualized. The boc has done more than enough unless you want actual deflation to bring prices back to where they were 12 months ago, but the rate of increases has completely leveled off for close to a year.

Food prices are high, due to the War. Ukraine has been coined as the “bread-basket” of the World – it has some of the most fertile soil in the World. 🇺🇲🇬🇧 Depleted Uranium Munitions have forever poisoned the soil. It also causes horrific deformities in newborn children just like in Iraq.
Cut fuel taxes, and inflation will fall. This includes food, and all items transported. Basic economics.
