For the millionth time. If alcoholics don’t have alcohol, they have seizures and end up in detox in a hospital room. Hospital space is already limited and the room is needed for Covid patients. Since the pandemic is a bigger problem right now, it makes sense to prioritize that. That doesn’t mean we don’t all agree it is a bad thing and shouldn’t have to be this way.

How is that a bunch of stranded Canadians had to be flown into 2-week quarantine at CFB Trenton back in February, and now international travellers from all over the world can fly to Canada, then transfer onto a connecting domestic flight with NO testing, and NO quarantine??? That’s happening right now !
I’d like to know what the average hospitalizations and ICU capacities are over the last 5 yrs. That might give the public a better perspective.
