The reason is that Russia had a very weak defensive line in the Kharkiv region due the the lack of troops. Russia has not enough troops in Ukraine since no mass mobilisation has been carried out yet. P.S. The south-east of Ukraine is historical Russian territory.
It’s exhausting just watching this war in the media. I can only imagine how bad the conditions have been on the ground for Ukrainian civilians.
Hoping they get supplies and fresh water fast.
Repent to Jesus Christ “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
Colossians 3:23-24 NIV

@Toad’s Tree Stump i agree with You… Even when they take back all their lands…
They lost… They lost soooo many
Come to Kyiv…. parties are going on every nights.
We have to also remember that Russia’s military equipment losses are absolutely enormous. Almost 10% of their fighter jets and light bombers have been destroyed, 13% of their helicopters have been destroyed, over 35% of their operational battle tanks have been destroyed (and many more captured or damaged), and over 30% of their armored vehicles have been destroyed (with many more captured or badly damaged). Dozens of their high-end air defense systems have been destroyed. None of these losses cannot be replaced in the short term. And each day this conflict continues, those losses continue to pile up, while HIMARS and MLRS units continue to hit ammo depots, control centers, troop/equipment concentrations, and bridges, pontoon crossings, and ferries that are attempting to re-supply Russian troops. Logistically, Russia has some major issues.

@Just a guy on a bike no one wins in a nuclear war that will never happen
@David Mcmillan It did happen before, remember Nagasaki and Hiroshima?
How proud to be a Ukrainian. Especially a Ukrainian soldier.

@Kuryakin gold eagle ,change your name to wally George , lololol!
Western weapons , training and money was instrumental but vastly superior tactics , logistics, leadership , heart and bravery , and patriotism is the deciding factor
The fact of mater is , all your long drawn out talk ain’t going to when them the WAR !
@Henry Vidal I’m not so sure. I think if enough people talk, the slight breeze that would result might flatten the Russian military.
0:52 this is a big deal – one of the biggest counterattacks on European soil since WW2. Good job Ukrainians! Bring the fight to them!
Definitely! This is history in the making! These battles will be taught long after at military academies
@Stephen Wright Russia: is goodwill gesture. Enjoy the tanks, ammo and equipment we left behind for you!!!!
idk this reminds me of a tsunami when the water retreats real fast, thats means the big wave is coming, but I think I’m just over thinking it

Zelensky ” I don’t need a ride, I need ammo” – what a leader in face of such adversity
@David Wong Jr yeah dissent thats why his party won the local elections in russia hands down.
You said it, a small country, and Magog is massive, fact of the matter is there going to to lose !
@GeckoTimes oops didn’t know they’ve had an election this year, specifically from Feb till now, which was what I was commenting on.. :))
I heard from comrades in my former brigade that four territorial defense battalions crossed the Oskol and pursued Russians another ten kilometers deep into the Luhansk region, but the officers of the 25th airborne brigade stopped them and returned to positions across the river. Based on this, I think that now we will strengthen these positions, and will not develop a further offensive. I also want to note that the offensive in the Kherson direction is not a distraction, but a full-scale operation. It’s just that the situation here is too good not to take advantage of it, given that the occupiers have driven themselves into a dead corner.
@Henry Vidal don’t forget to drink some water too.
@Henry Vidal 🤣🤣🤣
@Gold Eagle gold eagle change your name to wally George ! Lololol 🤣
@Henry Vidal only if you do it first.
I don‘t think we appreciate this enough:
Ukraine was talking about the Kherson offensive for 2 months, prompting the russians to send their best troops to the right bank of the Dniepr. Ukraine then bombed the bridges, making it impossible for all the equipment the russians had brought there to leave and also making it impossible for the russians to supply the estimated 25k troops in Kherson.
Then Ukrainians swiftly took the Kharkiv region back and they‘re just waiting out the russians in Kherson.
This is brilliant on every level. Well done, Ukraine👏🏻
@Thomas Odonnell Thanks ! Peace to the whole world , life is so precious .
And now the best Ukrainian forces are surrounded just like the Russians wanted it.
@Carlos Perdomo LOL! Vatnik
People of the West, life may be difficult for you right now, but support your government to continue helping Ukraine. Let’s not lose momentum now. Ukraine wins, but Russia hasn’t lost yet. Let’s give Ukraine all the necessary equipment that Ukraine needs to kick Russia out for good. As you can see, Ukraine is using the necessary equipment to its limits with so many wins. What courage and perseverance Ukrainians show. It’s hard in the West right now, but we still have our lives, our freedom and peace. Congratulations Ukraine. Stay safe. Slava Ukraini.
@Marie Lucas/orc, too bad you feel so sad and can’t live with the reality that Ukraine is winning. Slava Ukraini.
Great news! Canada stands with Ukraine. Keep up the excellent work.
An incredible victory for the Ukrainians! 🇺🇦

And an incredible loss for MAGAs and Trump and Fox…all the christian bottoms.
Ukrainian’s have done an unprecedented amount of military movements with the manpower they have. I’m so happy to see these successful retaking territories back, to see the Ukrainian citizens reactions to their troops has brought a tear or two to my eyes. 🇺🇦💪

A heroic battle for freedom, fought by ally underdogs. My heart swells to bursting watching Ukrainians fight for their Freedom. The whole of the world should look to Ukraine for how to act in the face of violent oppression.

@Nik 0749 No it isn’t and Russia will either get out or be made top get out…
The success of this counter-offensive really wasn’t so much about having Western equipment – although that has of course been intrinsic in helping Ukraine defend itself and slow Russian progress to a crawl..
It was about the Ukrainian military understanding Russian military doctrine, and taking advantage of it.
The Russian war machine works on the basis of attrition, and that means artillery. Inching forward, pounding everything to dust, and inching forward again. As we have seen, graphically.
There were many other factors at work, but the UAF’s core strategy was founded on the knowledge that the Russian military has no training in mobile warfare. They’re all about a thick front line.
So the Kharkiv counter-offensive, once it broke through two sections of that front line, were pretty much free to roam.
But they didn’t just roam – they *aced* it. Hitting C3 targets, bypassing Russian groups that presented no immediate threat, going straight for the jugular – logistic hubs.
It was a truly awesome manoeuvre. I’m still shaking my head in disbelief – and it’s still going on..
too bad ukraine does not have a air cavalry unit like we did in Vietnam. highly mobile, extremely well armed and deadly with the logistical support to back up the operation.
No, the Western weapons have made a huge difference. Ukraine can now attack BEHIND Russian lines with devastating results – they could not do that before. Without these weapons Russia only had to defend the front. Now they have to defend the front and everywhere else these weapons can reach.
The pinpoint precisión of the moderno weapons supplied by western countries with their training has been very importante. I think there is inteligence coming from inside Russia helping ukraine and nato. If ukraine gets more weapons the war could end before winter. The main problem Will be to reach an ahreement about donbas and getting money from Russia robpay the damage but that could be achieved with petrol and gas
Ukraine is a sight to be seen! Such bravery! Stand with ukraine! 🇺🇲🇺🇦
