In Myanmar’s jungles, protesters are training to fight the junta

Medical staff and college students in Myanmar are heading to the jungles to train with ethnic armed groups and learn how to defend themselves against the military that continues to kill its own people on the streets. CNN's Paula Hancocks talks to the General leading the training.

  4. I feel so sad 😭 for those three police officers. They were very brave to join the protestors. I saw a clip where 3 police officers joining the protestors..it may be them 😭😭

The amount of defectors is steadily increasing, also high-profile defections have been reported. https://myanmar-now.org/en/news/sergeant-roughly-80-soldiers-have-defected-from-myanmar-air-force-since-coup “The defections began in March and include soldiers from the Tada-U, Namsam, Pathein, Mingaladon and Taungu air force commands, a captain who left his post in early April to join CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) told Myanmar Now on condition of anonymity. “They’re not announcing it as CDM, they’re just fleeing. There’s about 80”.
