My heart and prayers go out to everyone there. Itaewon is a place to have fun. Would never expect for a tragedy such as this to happen. I lived there for a couple of years have attended parties and shopped in that district.
It’s a tragedy but I bet you didn’t actually pray though. No prayers went out so don’t say it.

The souls of those who died at a young age to die, in the pain of not being able to breathe, are entrusted to you. Take them back and give them grace so that they may rest in peace there.
In 1979 I nearly suffocated to death after being trapped and crushed by a crowd waiting to get into a Who concert. It was an absolutely horrifying experience. My heart goes out to everyone affected.
I also witnessed that at a Who concert in Toronto when opening act Heart got on stage and yelled at the audience in the front rows to stop pushing fans up against the stage getting crushed.
Horrible when crowds get out of control, you have little to no control kver that. Glad you safe but that is terrifying.
