  1. One of the reasons Frank Capra’s film remains relevant: Trump is the evil Mr. Potter.

George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) to Potter: “You sit around here and you spin your little webs, and you think the whole world revolves around you.” Trump is indeed the “scurvy little spider” of Capra’s film. And Trump’s evil is larger, deeper, and far more lethal to us all.

  2. Our Ww2 Mum used to tell us complaining kids.. that we “didn’t even know that we were alive”… looking back.. I think it was from what she has seen people suffer through in Ww2🌹🌹🌹

  3. Among those Steward commanded in the Army Air Corps during WWII was a young man named Walter Matthow aka Walter Matthau.

  4. absolutely wonderful, ty everyone! and its a wonderful life has been one of my fav movies for many decades! but i hadn’t even realized that he had ptsd, i thought he was just acting. it is so obvious now that you said it. being from a multigenerational military family, it should have hit me but didn’t. my son still has it after 14 years but it was dramatically bad that 1st year. and still i never made the connection with the movie.

  5. Listen to the lines in the scene where George is meeting with the bank officers after his father dies. Some pro-socialist ideals expressed there. George Bailey was a socialist, God Bless Him!

  6. The crow metaphor gives way to the squirrel, a symbol of prosperity, that runs up Uncle Billy’s arm after George unloads on him for losing the deposit.

  7. Jimmy Stewart was a top notch movie star that put it all aside to fight in that war, and he wasn’t the only one. That’s why they’re called the greatest generation.

  8. Best American movie of all time- best heart warming and heart wrenching scenes. Who would agree with me that Potter, his lackeys, and the bank examiners are really Trump, Mcconnell, and the GOP in disguise?! 😂

  9. My grandfather fought with British army all through Africa, France and Germany, loving man, I witnessed an episode of harshness when one day my younger brother playing with toy soldiers made comment about how smart German uniforms were, suddenly my grandfather had my wee brother held by throat and pinned to table. He did recoil and turned his back on us but I saw him crying he was hurting. Years later I confronted him and he admitted that he had took many lives and still remembered them all. He never forgave himself and no one was aware of PTSD I wonder if he would have even better than he already was to me.

  10. I just laughed at the idea that Biden will be surrounded by more women than men in the White House. And since his wife Jill will be suspicious of him, she will undoubtedly control the cameras.
