@Barbara Maroney Of being prosecuted, sued, and losing their medical licenses. Texas law allows outsiders to sue a doctor that provides an abortion. There isn’t a clear definition of the breakpoint between legal and non-legal abortion.

It’s just awful what Amanda and Josh went through. It’s tragic that she might never be able to have a child. And I know this isn’t the only case like this. The government has no business interfering in a woman’s medical decisions.

@cheerilyEERIE 1:37 finally, when her temp reached 103, her doctors terminated the pregnany. You cant terminate a pregnancy if the baby is already passed. At that point its a late miscarriage or spontaneous abortion in medical terms. How do these kids today pass comprehension tests? Im a midwife. Let me share with you what we do in these cases. Woman comes in with PROM (look that up), then the cervix is promptly checked for dilation, which is what puts women at risk for infection because it introduces bacteria directly to the OS (look that up). They then routinely monitor baby and start IV antibiotics and drugs to slow any contractions down. I can guarantee you there was more to this story that cnn isnt telling you. Im not surprised though. Cnn is a communist rag bent on total leftist agendas. In no instance did there need to be a medical abortion in this case. No cervical exams and IV antibiotics started immediately would have prevented this babes loss because the body replenishes the fluids and bags can reseal themselves is left tf alone. The infection was caused by the medical team and lack of proper care. These parents need to go after them and not become mouthpieces for the destruction of the next generation. And just in case you missed it…. Abortions cause septic shock, perforations of the uterus and scar tissue. Think about that before you rub the 2 braincells you have together to make a thought and speak it. 😂

Well, the law encourages anyone, even outside of Texas to sue a doctor and anyone who assists a woman to get an abortion. Maybe someone outside of Texas should sue the legislature.

There has to be a law firm willing to take these cases pro bono & sue the States.
Nothing is going to change in Texas until businesses and more citizens affected by these extremist laws start standing up and speaking out to not only Abbott’s office but to the state’s courts as well. As long as you live in Texas with Abbott as governor, he will continue to force you to live by “his principles!” Blue voters need to start reaching out to rural and suburban Texas because those are the places that kept Abbott governor of Texas. He probably thinks you both are sinners and deserved what happened. Imagine someone running your state that thinks that way about you. 😢

Please know that the majority of Americans believe your heartbreaking story should never happen again. The blessing is that you both have each other and your Love is probably stronger as a result if your tragedy.
I had severe sepsis after getting some of my bowel removed. I was septic for 3 days and was told it was in my head. I prepared for death and everything. Told my parents not to come visit me that day. I was very very lucky because usually when sepsis symptoms shows itself, it’s already too late. Was revived 4 times in the OR
