The Democrat-led House Ways and Means Committee voted to release some of former President Donald Trump's tax returns in the next few days.

A House committee voted Tuesday to publicly release some of Donald Trump's tax returns, despite Republican threats to retaliate against President Joe Biden and other Democrats. It is not known exactly when the Trump tax documents will become available. Lawmakers said that personal information must be redacted from the documents, and the process could take at least a couple of days.
Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee said releasing the Trump tax returns is in the public interest, and part of an effort to improve auditing procedures at the Internal Revenue Service.
"This was never about being punitive. It was never about being malicious," said Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., the Democratic committee chairman, after a party-line vote following a closed-door debate that lasted more than four hours. Trump did not immediately comment on the committee vote.

He said they’re releasing the documents to the House. It doesn’t sound like these are being released to the public.

@August Rekar well that’s where accountability comes in. Someone in DC has to have it. It’ll probably come from the Supreme Court via request from the public. They’re not going to release Trump real taxes. And everyone in DC’s fake ones. If they do then Trump will call them out Then the heat will come from the public once again. If we’re gonna release taxes. Then that goes for EVERYBODY who’s been sworn in by the people to uphold our Constitution. Not just some

And if you want members of Congress to be required to release taxes, you have the ability to contact your Representatives and ask them to bring it up as a bill.

We already know of Pelosi’s insider trading…. How did Obama go from 500K when entering the white house to 200 million? Etc. Those stories have to be corrupt as hell, but, most haters only jump around about what the media tells them… no thinking for themselves.

Elon musk barely paid taxes, and the only reason he did pay taxes was because a twitter poll told him to so he intentionally sold stock to show a profit to pay on that. Rich people dont collect paychecks like everyone else. They effectively live off debt and credit which is given to them because they have X amount in assets.. So if trump only paid 1k in taxes then its because he has all his money in stock which isnt taxed until you sell it, Buildings / real estate which taxes are paid on them yearly by is company and most of his net worth is tied up in the actual company.. Just boggles my mind how many people dont understand this because they work 9 to 5 jobs, and pay taxes on there weekly checks.

This is ridiculous! We live in America 🇺🇸 no one should be forced to show their tax returns. And every rich person uses the tax law to their advantage. Just like they should! Why is it ok that we have to pay thousands or millions of times less in taxes. That is punishment for being the one who makes capitalism work. Our economy works because driven people build an amazing business business and hire other people.
