“I think we need to be very worried about this court. They have demonstrated an ideological distaste for protecting the right to vote,” says former AG Eric Holder.

    1. LOL “Chief Justice Barack Obama”? That’s one way to get the trolls to flock to your comment. Well done! 😁

    2. @Cid Sapient So how’s those 60+ Trump election court fillings, tossed out of court, working out for the McConnell court packing strategy? /s

    3. @Just Say’n “So how’s those 60+ Trump election court fillings”
thats not reality and everyone knows why lol
      enjoy ur TDS haha

    4. @Just Say’n “working out for the McConnell court packing strategy?”
the democrats are literally trying to pack the court and ur blaming it on mcconnell haha
      TDS loser

    1. Unseat his scotus seated justices!? Even though they refused or dismissed his claims of voter fraud? So when they do what you want they are great and you laugh in trumps face but when they don’t do what YOU want they should be removed from the bench? That’s about the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard…

    2. Chris Dupree , I think that people are just so frustrated with all the craziness that they are saying what they would like to happen. But some things just can’t be done. When I have questions that I don’t know the answer to I Google my question and it helps me understand. I don’t like what I find out sometimes but I understand.

  1. Yep. Fascism takes control from the inside, by using the highest levels of gov. against itself. It changes the formerly unconstitutional to the constitutional. The SC has already done this 2x within the last 10 years with voting rights.

  2. I’m starting to think the only thing republicans actually care about is staying in power. The Constitution? Nope. Working families? Uh-uh. Law and order? Ha, yeah right! 😅😂

    1. Ro g, yes, and I now believe that the Republicans have been at this for years, AKA gerrymandering. They’ve screwed us in the dark for years, but now, thanks to social media, all their evil treachery and corruption is on full display. It’s up to us, the voters, to take strong action while we can! Vote out all the Republicans!

    2. @taz 9 If the voting rights bill gets on the reconciliation package the voters that always win the popular majority will be heard the 7,000,000 disenfranchised by gerrymandering and voter suppression. FL 2000 saw the governor purge 125,000 Democratic registrations without notifying the voters so they could re-register. They were given provisional ballots that are usually not counted. I know, I voted absentee for FL-22 and my 2004, 2008 ballots were not counted, and 2000 had SCOTUS denying all FL votes because they were for Gore as the recount showed.

    3. @dlee t I believe it. In the state where I live, we voted on a bill that was against puppy mills and the way they operate. It passed by voters. The next thing I knew, the governor had overturned the bill trying to hide it so that voters didn’t learn about it. I think Republicans are already overturning votes. The voters just haven’t found out yet.

    4. @dlee t I remember the “brooks brothers riot” during the Florida recount between Bush and Gore. They burst in on the counters and so the counting was stopped. Our country’s plague (who dresses like a cartoon villain) Roger Stone had a hand in that.

    1. One way of looking at the problem of his tenure is to look at the corporate solution, restructuring. 😁

    2. @Just Say’n another way of looking at the problem of his actions is thru the lens of the criminal code. My preference.

    3. All DJT appointees need to be cleansed from every position. They are like a insidious infection to democracy.

    4. @Gary Moore Trump hates the USPS as they helped find him guilty of Mail Fraud in connection with his fake university. Corporations hate the USPS for the same reason and why they use FedEx, UPS, DHL, Amazon and others that allow fraud.

  3. Gerrymandering is the biggest threat faced by American democracy. America needs proportional representation to breath life back into the very sick state of the body politic of America.

    1. @Thatcher2.0 this is why congress is setting voting rights laws
      Voting Rights Act of 1965

The act contains numerous provisions that regulate elections. The act’s “general provisions” provide nationwide protections for voting rights. Section 2 is a general provision that prohibits every state and local government from imposing any voting law that results in discrimination against racial or language minorities. Other general provisions specifically outlaw literacy tests and similar devices that were historically used to disenfranchise racial minorities. The act also contains “special provisions” that apply to only certain jurisdictions. A core special provision is the Section 5 preclearance requirement, which prohibits certain jurisdictions from implementing any change affecting voting without receiving preapproval from the U.S. attorney general or the U.S. District Court for D.C. that the change does not discriminate against protected minorities. Another special provision requires jurisdictions containing significant language minority populations to provide bilingual ballots and other election materials.

    2. @Thatcher2.0 Your arguments would be more validated by sources rather than opinions. Isn’t that the point? 😉

    1. A maga is a high priest in the church of satan… It is worse than you know. Nazi are grouping up and terrorizing people. Gangs disguised as militias are attacking people in their homes at night, they have done this to me. LE let them do whatever also.

    1. Mecca Morgan, yes and think about all the taxes we pay much of the taxes we pay are going to elected officials who want to dismantle democracy!

  4. WHY IS EVERYTHING MOVING SO SLOWLY… DENY DEFLECT AND DELAY… THE TACTICS OF THE EXXON LOBBYIST IS NOW THE STRATEGY OF THE CONGRESS

    1. It’s been this way for years, just not as transparent as it is today with information access at ones fingertips. 🖖

    1. Agreed. Time for democrats to show McConnell that his court packing strategy is a 2 way street. So far, the democrats have wasted 6 valuable months. Imho

  6. Once gerrymandering reaches its limits, the only instrument left to the GOP to remain in power is a coup. The end of democracy.

    1. Strange that they haven’t thought of the simple notion of putting out policies that earn votes.
An independent redistricting commission will have nil effect if their policies are up to it.

  7. If the Supreme Court is not acting in the interest of the majority and promoting democracy then passive adherence to undemocratic practices needs to be acted on in non passive ways. Republicans cheat and lie for power. A non passive force needs to be applied back.

  8. It’s horrific the damage McConnell has unfairly done with those two new unqualified Heritage club louts on the SC. Him and his pursuit of revenge. What kind of inspiration is that? He is a sick man.

    1. He is trying to take the heat of his wife who since she left politics s been investigated.for questionable things she did while in office.
She was rep Elaine Choo.hope I got her name right.

    2. McConnell has already packed the court and he is a evil man along with so many of the Republican party. I can hardly wait until the investigation is over for the insurrection. Then we will know exactly the ones who did what and they can all start being arrested for their parts in the treasonous acts and going against everything that their oath stands for and they broke their oaths a long time ago. Each and every one of them should be investigated individually because if they would help with this Treasonous act I believe that they have done so much more that has not come to light yet!

    3. @Anna Jorgensen One is on camera saying how he will open the door for the proud boys but is not going to admit it. Former intel agent says we are in a neo-fascist period.

  9. Have a national referendum on major issues and have what 70% of the country wants passed. That is Democracy.
Donors paying off Legislators and senators to have bills they want is not Democracy. You can see with leaked Manchin tape with donors and Exxon Lobbyist video.

  10. Every post office, fire station, school, police station and municipal venues and churches should be used for voting

  11. Supreme court “Ideologically against voter protection” – That sentence right there blows my mind. It’s true and it amazes me that we ended up here. Doesn’t seem like what the founding fathers of the US had in mind. Partisanship is out of control.
