As a driver I applaud this. As someone who also understands that we should be moving away from personal vehicles and toward mass transit, I feel maybe we should be disincentivizing car use. Unfortunately, Ontario does not offer great inter-city train or bus options.
I am interested to see if anything changes in the section from St. Catharines to Hamilton. Going 110+ then down to 2 lanes and 80 on the Parkway. Not trying to imply more lanes would fix anything (see:Induced Demand). That section can already get pretty close to Road Warrior territory.
LOL what a joke, everyone is doing 130 + on every major highway already
I thought speed kills.
Refund all those tickets.
Agreed! Wouldn’t that be nice.
Were gonna need the cash when doug turns around and says we all need annual safety checks and they start at $150
Do Alberta next.
Most Alberta highways are posted 110 already
@Paying more will save the planet. Oh yeah lmao I should know this 🤦
@HeyLookPropane lol. No one really pays attention to them anyway.
Smart move. Driving faster means more fuel sold, more tax dollars coming in
Hey 417 drivers are now doing 130 km/hr and being more reckless making the highway more dangerous
get ready for 140 😀
Then move over and stay in your lane
i paid for a v8 not a scooter
Great, now will the OPP finally start ticketing those driving slowly in the passing lane?

I’ll continue to go 200+ because its 2022 not 1922. I paid for a v8 and i intend to use all of it.
Highways are not drag strip
@Rami Abram everyone else thinks they are when its time to go home
